★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful grocery store. Lots of variety in items, good prices. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. This store has the best bakery in Airdrie,AB! I have pre ordered the chicken dinners from the deli and have been very satisfied with the service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware this safeway. Tonight at around 8pm I had gone in to buy a $5 box of Popsicles. I scanned the item through self checkout, paid with a credit card and proceeded to exit through the main doors when I was approached by the assistant manager. He had asked to see my receipt which I politely showed him as proof of payment. But then began to berate me rudely grabbing the receipt out of my hand and said "I saw you looking around for cameras and it looked like you are stealing". I felt so disrespected and told him that I have the receipt right here and he said he had to check the date implying that it somehow may not be legit. I was accused of stealing despite providing proof of payment and WITHOUT APOLOGY I was issued a refund, left empty handed. The assistant manager needs proper training as it seems he is not competent to fill such a position. I expect to be compensated and atleast receive an apology for being wrongfully accused of theft after providing a receipt. Not impressed safeway. Would give zero stars if allowed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Usually a great store to go to but dang they don’t answer their phone. They open at 7 AM and close at 10 PM. I called around 7:30 PM on Monday to order a couple “Entertaining Trays” from the deli, was told to call back in the morning. I called back Tuesday FOUR TIMES between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM and no one answered, it just rang 3000 times. Ended up calling head office for help on our company New Years order. Come on guys, get it together.

Usually the staff is so-so with regards to assistance.
The cashier that I had went above & beyond! She was super friendly, packed my groceries to perfection and did a few extra things that made my experience enjoyable and made me feel appreciated as a customer!
Trish was her name & she was absolutely amazing! It is people like her that make me want to return!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a good Safeway location and has a decent selection and prices.. the self checkout counter sizing needs increasing and the software is pretty glitchy.
The store could also make better use of the open space areas.. but overall these are minor complaints!
