From the front-entrance receptionists to the medical imaging, ECG and blood lab techs and support staff to my entire operating theatre team to the amazing, good-humoured nurses in post-op recovery, the RJH provided a professional and human 5-star experience from pre-op prep tests to post-op release. Also, a shout-out to the bed pushers and cleaners and other admin staff who went efficiently about their indispensible work while taking time for a kind word or two. This amazes me all the more given all the pressures on all the staff during the last two years of COVID. Kudos to RJH. (Now, if they could just get a handle on Emerg......)

The Royal Jubilee Hospital, through its association with the Royal Hospital, is historically the first recorded hospital in the early days of Victoria in the colony of BC. More than 150 years after the original Royal Hospital was commissioned, the 37 acre campus continues to evolve to meet current medical standards and healthcare needs. Some buildings dating back to the 1920s and 1930s are still in use today. The story of the Royal Jubilee Hospital that began with a Parsonage in 1858 is reflected and maintained within the design of the site’s newest building, the Patient Care Centre, adding another chapter to an already rich heritage. Needless to say, it's old

Went to the ER this afternoon at 1, was seen by a Dr before 1:30 and admitted by 2pm! Fast friendly service from everyone, the nicest nurses and security was amazingly helpful. Big thank you to the staff for helping me!

The food services are anything but professional. I have ordered meals and never get what i order. Last night i gave their food a try. It was disgusting. I took the temperature of the food. It was 96 degrees. Now being in a hospital, you would think your in good hands, but not the case here. I was up all night with diarrhea, knowing that i was experiencing some sort of food poisoning. Have asked to see someone from food services, but no one has taken the time to see me. ?. I have to go downstairs to the restaurants to get my own food. I suggest never eating from the food services of the Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Very disappointing to say the least.

Three days before Christmas my husband was admitted to Royal Jubilee Hospital with "minor" chest pains. The next day he had an angiogram procedure with not favourable results. On Christmas Day, the cardiovascular surgeon came to his room and spent over an hour outlining the need for quadruple bypass and the risks he would be undertaking. After deciding to proceed, he underwent a number of tests in preparation for the 4-6 hour operation including x-rays, ultrasounds, various cardio tests and a physical assessment. This was complemented with visits from a cardiologist, endocrinologist, internist and various residents who were co-ordinating their approach to his health care. Most importantly, the one thing that stood out above everything else were the PEOPLE and THE CARE they provided. From the cardiac surgeon who saved his life, the cardiologist who did the diagnosis in emergency, the internists who spent days with him helping him through the process and the endocrinologist who was out walking his dog on a Sunday and came in to see him about the implications of his diabetes on his surgery. All professional and dedicated health care professionals making a difference. The biggest debit of gratitude goes to the nurses, care aids and support staff who every days came to work under difficult conditions and displayed tremendous sense of dedication and empathy with all their patients. The staff at 3 north and 3 South Heart Health were absolutely outstanding. We are forever grateful. The Lemon Family

Had to take the kid in today and was line up out the door so knew we had some waits as minor thing we were there for. The staff and doctors were all great and getting through one patient after another in a seemingly busy time. Two south African doctors in particular seemed to be on fire even though dealing with serious issues everyone was calmed and got through very efficiently. We weren't seen by them, but our doctor was great too. Everyone seemed to be very good at their jobs and I'm sure sped up our stay. Thanks guys great work you are doing, I'm sure everyone that was there today or still is feels the same way!

I had knee replacement surgery on April 22nd. I want to thank each and every staff member for their professionalism, kindness and for doing their jobs. I know how short staffed you were and how tired each and everyone of you were but, you still gave each patient above and beyond excellent care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do. You are appreciated

Went in for for quintuple bypass surgery. Honestly I was worried going in but I have to say they have been amazing. From the orientation before the surgery to the after care surgery I'm receiving now everything was professional and the staff and Dr's are an amazing group. I have alot of recovery over the following months but at least I will have the tools and ability to cope.
