Omg the Brussels Sprouts was so good! Wasn’t a big fan of the waffle apple pie dessert. The waffle was too chewy and the sauce too salty. Service and atmosphere was great.

I was excited to try this place out as a friend recommended It to me. I’ll start with the good; staff was the best I’ve encountered. Atmosphere, perfect! Mushrooms were good and so were the soy pickles. As for the rest of the food… We were served 6 romaine lettuce for the chicken AND for the beef short ribs lettuce wraps. We asked for more but I don’t think romaine lettuce should be used for lettuce wraps. The portion was ridiculously small for the price especially when you compare It to somewhere else like Cactus. The chicken($16) was okay but the beef ($24) was better tasting. I’ve made my own marinated bbq’d Korean short ribs and they’ve turned out better sorry to say… and I’m not Korean : / . The salmon tacos flavour wise were okay, again small portion for the price and 5-6 diced salmon pieces per taco is unacceptable. I’d come again to try new or different items but I wasn’t thrilled.

So happy that Roy’s Kitchen is finally open. I’ve really been missing some of their menu items. Although they don’t have everything that they used to have that I loved, some of their new items are just as good too. The oxtail tortellini still one of my fav dishes.

Came down on a sunny day to enjoy the patio. Missed our favorite Anju dishes and were excited to come down and try! Service was great we had Kristen and Gideon who took great care of us and made us feel special. Went for some soy pickles and pickled daikon to start, so much flavour! Paired with some delicious cocktails we started with their feature, a riff on a paper plane I believe as well as their fresh tasting soju sour. Their glassware and presentation are lovely. Went for spicy gochujang wings which were crispy and juicy. The best Brussel sprouts in the city - next time I need to ask for extra rice cake I love the texture. Also went for grilled shishito peppers which are always a great snack. We wanted to get their beef tataki but they were all out. We received the cutest little sushi trio in apology which was going above and beyond with caring service. Super tasty little bites! Wanted to get the japchae which is always a favorite as well but was too absolutely stuffed, we will have to come back soon. Congratulations to the staff on a great restaurant opening during difficult times. Can't wait to see the dining room I'm sure it will be beautiful!

I enjoyed the beef tataki but the other dishes were only okay. The oxtail tortellini was creative but the meat inside was bland and dry. The ramen carbonara was all stuck in a big clump. The bbq short ribs were not bad but nothing special.

Roy's Korean Kitchen is fantastic. If you ever tried Anju before they closed, Roy's has all of your favorites. If not, it's definitely worth checking out. Some of my favourites are the Brussel sprouts, oxtail tortellini, and gochujang wings. So happy to be able to have these dishes again!

My wife and I have been frequenting Roy’s kitchen since they opened almost every week (sometimes twice / thrice) for dates or with our kids. Huge THANK YOU to Chef Roy and the amazing team. With my wife’s allergies and food sensitivities to soy, dairy, and gluten, you can only imagine how difficult it’s been to have Korean food, which is something I personally love having grown up with a lot of Korean friends and it being one of my favorite cuisines. Chef Roy somehow manages to accommodate my wife’s allergies, with no compromise to flavour or structure! Personally, I couldn’t event tell any substitutions were made. A testament to his skill, craft, and knowledge of ingredients. Everything we’ve had was spectacular - we’ve literally had 70-80% of the menu. Special shoutout to the KFC sliders modified for “Yana’s Allergies”! ??? we can’t have enough. Laura is always a great host and every one of servers are amazing, kind, and really attentive. Looking forward to more great times and food at Roy’s Kitchen, with our kids and friends!

How did I not hear about this place before? Popped in here during LilacFest2022 and was pleasantly surprised to see a cool little dining room with great decor. Service was on point, and checked on us often (that's a HUGE thing a lot of places miss). We ordered the Crispy Tofu and the Oxtail Ravioli. VERY GOOD items. Sharing items for sure. Quality, taste, presentation was top notch. We did try the Mushroom Carbonara. We liked the presentation of the egg to mix in and flavour was good, but it did lack a "finish" on the palette. The portion was good and hearty, so we were able to take it home, but even on a reheat, it needed a finishing touch. The menu did offer an upgrade add on of Lobster, but we didn't opt for it this time around. Would come back for sure for more items to try and drinks to sip on. _________________ @heyAndyYYC on IG for more food adventures and shenanigans Give us a follow _________________
