I usually don't like to post reviews but this place was bad. Rude service, overpriced mediocre food, the bubble tea is advertised as fresh but they use powder, and food was inedible. It was half full when we went. Much better Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

Stumbled in here and tried my usual Beef Satay Noodle Soup. Have to admit it is one of the best Satay soups in the city (top 5). I didn't have to add any Sriracha, as the flavors were bold and delicious. Friendly staff and very busy which is always a good sign, especially in a complex that is basically empty. The salad rolls with peanut sauce were fresh, but were just okay.

Service was prompt and courteous. Food was good. I had the lobster pho. The sate broth was nice and tasty. The soup had several shrimp, tiny scallops, squid, and a nice lobster tail (in the shell). The one difficulty I had was getting the lobster morsels out of the shell. I would have it again if I was looking to spend another $20 (plus tip)

I was very excited when the restaurant reopened, but only some of their dishes are really worth going for. I recommend the wrap and roll. The staff are really welcoming but the environment is quite crowded. Maybe I can't shake the memory of the meat shop that was there? All the same, I'm going to keep visiting and hope the rest of their dishes will get up to a consistent and yummy standard.

Decided to give this place a try to avoid sitting in rush hour traffic. The restaurant itself is clean and has plenty of tables. We ordered take so I can't speak to the service, however the counter service for pickup as courteous. The food itself is tasty, but not the best I've had. Portions were on the smaller side as well. I ordered the house special noodle, and it did not contain as much beef, tripe, beef balls or tendon as some other comparable establishments. The broth was also not as full flavoured as other places. I also ordered the BBQ pork chop rice, and while there was a good portion of rice, and the chops were a good size, the chops themselves lacked a distinct grilled flavour, and also did not have any char (Seemed like it would of been pan fried instead of grilled). Parking was plentiful as the plaza is relatively empty. Again not sure if it's just the way take out is prepared, but perhaps the dine in option would be a better experience. If I ever do go back to dine in, I will update this review. For now, it's ok for take out, both in value and in quality.

Since the reopening of Saigon Star, I have been twice. The food is still delicious however it seems like portion sizes have gone down slightly and is smaller than similar restaurants. That being said, it is still good value and it tastes wonderful. If you go for lunch on a weekday then you will most definitely run into some kids from the nearby school, so if you get easily annoyed my teenagers then probably best to take a late lunch or go for dinner. The service is fast, kind and helpful. It does sadden me slightly to see that even for dine-in customers, disposable chopsticks were provided. Overall I’d say it’s a good place to go if you’d like some fast, good tasting Vietnamese food on a reasonable budget.

Definitely one of the best vietnamese restaurants I've ever eaten at! I came here for lunch and the place was packed by 12:30, Yet my food came so fast I could hardly believe it. The prices are very affordable. I orded the Lobster seafood satay noodle soup, and some salad rolls. The soup was so flavorful and had 1 full large lobster tail and a small 1/2 tail. This soup was only $20. A normal seafood noodle soup was around $13, so I litterally only paid 7$ for lobster! The salad rolls were big snd fresh, and the peanut sauce was creamy & warm! I will definitely be coming back to try some other dishes.

This place has really good pho in my opinion, and the bun and other dishes are great too. Their sate is the spicier type instead of peanut (which I prefer) and their broth is quite good. Atmosphere is nice too, good for quick and affordable eats. The people working here are extremely nice and patient too. I have seen them handle a group of stoners who had no idea what the hell they ordered after while still being polite despite them constantly changing their mind (as they got their food haha, was hilarious to watch).
