Rouge Valley Residence

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I went to visit a three bedroom apartment and gave them a deposit on Monday morning. I advised them that we are a family of four and have varying schedules. They assured me that the place could be held for 72 hours after we submit a deposit. Today is Wednesday. They called me to advise that the place has been occupied. It has not even been 48 hours later. The caller even had the audacity to blame me for not completing the application process, although they have it written clearly on their documents and I was verbally told, that I have 72 hours to place a hold on the apartment. I have come to the conclusion that either they have no concept of basic mathematical skills or they engage in discriminatory business practices. In any case, I would warn anyone interested in renting this apartment to thoroughly think about the implications of renting from deceivers. If they can lie about the application process, they can lie about anything else. You have been warned. P.S. The one star rating is not a reflection of my experience. The system will not allow me to put -10.

Living here for almost 4 years. Great neighborhood and neighbors. Any time I need anything fixed, it's almost always same day service. Great management office. Recommend highly!

Not a bad place to live. It's pretty quiet. Only issue I have is the property could be kept cleaner (always some garbage to be seen) and staircases/ common areas is not cleaned often enough.

I rented here quite some time ago, lasted 1 year, would have left sooner but we had a lease. One of the biggest problems this place has is paper thin walls and floors. We had to listen to a crying teen every night, and I am not joking, seemed she had a bad social life and had to cry to her friends, but we had to listen to it every.... single.... night. And my car was damaged in the parking lot, the super didn't care one bit. Try and avoid this place at all costs.

Lived here for around 3 years. Never had any major issues. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and had a breeze moving in and out because of them. The swimming pool is great in the summer. It’s a family friendly area by a school.

Listen, in terms of rent price, this place is great especially for the size of apartments you can get. Location is pretty good to, right beside a school, park with soccer field and baseball field, right off the highway and pharmacy in walking distance. Neighbours are generally really nice. People will move your big mail deliveries to your door if they see it outside. No porch pirates here. That's where the good qualities end however. The walls are super thin so be ready to hear everything including conversations and hanky panky. The maintenance staff is kind of a joke. You have to make multiple complaints on the chance that they MIGHT do something. When they do show up....they are kind of useless. Had a door that wouldn't stay shut and the guy came in and jiggled the door knob three times and said there's nothing wrong it works...when I insisted that it doesn't stay closed he then began to wildly open and slam the door shut several times before saying 'it works' again.meanwhile it pops open if you don't have your hand on it to keep it closed. They say they moniter parking but they don't .which can be nice in terms of visitors but is super annoying when people keep parking in your designated parking spot.-_- There is always broken glass around parking areas and garbage scattered. They have a pretty bad skunk and racoon problem. Skunks are fairly blind though so if you give them space they shouldn't bother you. Oh! And people feed the squirells and those buggers will destroy things on your balcony. There are so many of them and some look like they might have mange. The appliances are old and usually have something wrong with them. Don't hold your breath on getting them replaced either. The blinds in each apartment are obnoxiously fragile and fugley.

Do not rent here,stay away, currently looking to relocate, this is the worse place to rent,not quiet at all, constant parties, loud music and individuals drinking on the street. I have made multiple complaints to the Rouge Valley residence management but it falls on deaf ears. The units are outdated, if you have a family look else where. Look at the pictures at the bottom,this is what your street really looks like.

My experience from first conversation, to viewing the apartments and moving in has been absolutely positive. I dealt with a lady named Sophie property administrator who went above and beyond to help make the application processes smooth. She was professional yet friendly, kind, quick, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. Every staff member I met and interacted with have been professional and caring. I have to add the property manager Marvin was also wonderful to deal with. The staff care and are quick to respond & help! Awesome staff, friendly neighbors great place to call home.....
