Long story short, waiting 2 hours for food is absolutely ridiculous! I saw the sign at the front door about being patient because they are short staffed….I get it. But, don’t seat your entire bar area and not have the means to serve the customers!!!!! We were the first table in the bar and waited 2 hours for food. Food was good when it did arrive. Please manage your staff to customer ratio.

It came with potato salad and a huge green salad and the pie itself was delicious. Our waitress was friendly and didn’t hover, she gave us just the right amount of attention. I need to come back on a night with live music!

The servers were great trying to attend such a busy pub, 5 of us ordered pies.. but it took a solid 2 hours for us to get our food. And the flies.. it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. You'd find less flies in a stable of horses, than you would here. We sat in a corner booth, just left of the bar.. and the flies were everywhere, especially when the food came. I took only 1 picture, which is of a painting on the wall, that must have food bacteria on it and lucky me. I sat under this painting. I expected great things from this pub, especially because I take a trip here ever year from Vancouver and it's one of my favorite places. - and also the pub has good reviews.. I'd give the pies a 5/10 Service a 7/10, because there were only 2 women running the whole show, and really they did a good job. I'm sure they struggled the day I was in. There should definitely be a 3rd or 4th person just to help with the volume. The ladies were fun and bubbly, can't flaw them.

Casual atmosphere with plenty of locals hanging out at the bar. Plenty on tap and variety of home cooked and pub meals.
