I moved in in December, so this is a review based on only a few months of tenancy, but so far things have been good. The maintenance team has been excellent - very responsive to requests and so far anything that needed fixing/adjusting has been done in as timely a manner as possible (Covid has of course caused some delays, which is beyond the control of anyone here). The downsides of this complex: They're old buildings with certain features that are less than desirable. The fire exits are in the centre of the hallway (where the elevators are) rather than at the ends, which means if your immediate neighbour has a fire you have to pass that unit to get to the emergency stairs. There is a garbage chute on each floor, but no recycling - you have to go all the way to the sub-basement and dump your recycling into large bins in the parking lot. No composting. The lobby doors are often left open, whether for someone who is moving, workmen or just because the sliding door is not working correctly. This obviously creates a security issue. Finally, tenants do smoke despite the non-smoking policy of the building, and you will smell marijuana smoke regularly. The upsides: The units are of a generous size with excellent natural light. Although the rents are high for a single working person, they are in keeping with other highrises downtown. The layouts are generally intelligent and ergonomic. The views from many units are excellent, especially if you can get a unit on a higher floor. Balconies are very large, with secure, high railings made of concrete and glass which makes for a safer feeling when outside. Location can't be beat, with constant bus service downtown, easy walking distance both downtown and up the mountain as well as to the Cote des Neiges shopping district, and a metro station nearby. Buildings have parking and storage for an extra fee. There are no doormen in individual buildings, but the main office in the central building is open during regular business hours and packages can be delivered there to avoid parcel theft. Mail is delivered by Canada Post directly to your door, as each unit has a mail slot. This is a wonderful convenience. Currently the pool is unavailable due to Covid restrictions, and the promised gym/fitness room is unfinished. I would suggest not counting on those facilities for the time being. There is a super little shop in the main building - more than the average depanneur, slightly less than a true "grocer" but with a surprising variety of products (e.g. I was able to avoid going out in a snowstorm when I found harissa, maple syrup and fresh baguettes). The best pharmacy in Montreal, in my opinion, is also in this little shopping arcade. The property is very attractive with walking paths around and through a central courtyard with many different areas to enjoy, including a gas firepit. The area feels very safe, even at night. Dogs are welcome, which is a huge bonus in Montreal where it is nearly impossible to find a highrise that's dog-friendly, and smaller landlords are very leery of this as well. Overall, if you can afford the price it's a good deal compared to other highrises in Montreal, in my opinion. Other luxury buildings will have more atmosphere, more staff and longer-term tenants, but you'll pay a serious premium.

Worst building - maintanance team - management in All the aspects Ever !!! Waste of money living in such an old building without any maintanance and paying as much as a brand new condo in town !!!!

I like Rockhill overall, nice ambiance, well equipped gym & well located. but the building is very old & in so many sections it needs repair & constant care. And it is very clear that the building management lack staff or enthusiasm! Even though the rent is high considering; you don't get the customer service you deserve when it comes to repair. For instance, the inside pool has worked for less than 4 months overall in the last 2 years due to both Covid & repair, there has been something wrong with the water heater & they could not solve the issue or maybe this is something new but the result is that we can't use the pool from 2 months ago & when you ask for updates, that is how their customer service team replies, with no clear reopening date. I moved from Toronto to Montreal and after seeing many places took a Rockhill one bedroom apt. Nice facilities. Well maintained. Indoor parking a plus. Storage unit conveniently situated in the lobby area. Good rental price. However, the noise from the street and neighbours was unbearable. There was an odor on the floor that seeped into everything in my apt. Awful. If there is ample visitor parking I've never seen it. Staff are wonderful but soon forget who you are once you've signed the lease. I listened for 4 months to the torturous pounding of the equipment used to fix the neighbour's balcony. Everyday from 8am to 4pm. Drove me insane. Unexpectedly I moved to Nuns' Island within the year, a 2-bedroom, for $24 more. Love it here.

the New RockHill team took care of my issue from A to Z . Thank you Peter , Brunet and Sylvia for all your efforts and outstanding customer service to provide a resolution for the issues I had with the previous team . I am very excited about spending another year here at the Rock Hill just for this Amazing experience . Please ignore the previous comments because it doesn't reflect what the new team are doing to make things right for the tenants . Way to go !

I have been at the Rockhill since I was 2 years old, to give you perspective that’s 31years. My home used to be such an amazing, friendly and incredible place to live. I still remember my neighbour teaching me to ride a bike for the first time in the old courtyard. At the Rockhill you felt safe, there was no need to lock your doors because you were amongst family and friends. I come from a single mother and we shared a 3 1/2 all these years, I used to watch “the grown ups“ go to the 15th floor and I wished and hoped that one day I would be able to move there…I thought to myself wow the penthouse that’s amazing, one day ! It took a long time but I did it, 2 years ago I moved to the penthouse and what should have been an incredible and memorable experience was met with the most crushing and disgusting display of management and negligence. I moved into the apartment that was claimed to be renovated with vents missing, plumbing unconnected, heating completely closed in January i mind you, paint on the windows and floors, broken mouldings, physically broken heaters and to put a cherry on top a dangerous crack on the middle of stairs. I asked them 3 times to fix it, someone was going to hurt themselves… that’s exactly what happened, my niece fell into the stairs causing deep bruising and some minor cuts to her whole leg, the crack was now a 4foot whole ! It took them 2 months to fix everything that should have never been broken prior to allowing someone to move in. It’s been 2 years, tones of emails, countless of phone calls and no one cares or bothers to answer. They’ve changed managers so many times in 2 years that it ends up going no where. Theres a lot more options out there and my honest opinion after 31years at my beloved Rockhill, IS DONT COME HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Do NOT more there. I’ve been making complaints for week because neighbours are smoking and it smells in my apartment. Even though the building advertise as non-smoker, nothing have been done. If you want building’s management that respect its own laws and live quietly I definitely do not recommend the Rockhill.

Nice place, Nice appartements, many amenities but a poor an unprofessional service. I had heating problems (during a very hard winter), it was almost impossible for me to do anything in my own place because it was too cold. I sent them an e-mail and they answered at least one week later, just to ask me if I was home so they can send a technician. They never apologized, and dared to complain when I told them to do so, and that their reaction was unprofessional. More again, I don’t know what the technician did but it’s still very cold in my appartement.
