Don't ever rent from this place. Just a bunch of thieves will take your money and provide no service. The person "John" who responds with the email address on Google reviews is also a scam. No one ever responds on any of their phone numbers and email address. There are many suits against this company at the local Court. Save yourself trouble and rent somewhere else. Completely useless staff and they're won't help you in any way. They are only after your money and don't care about anything else.

Overall, I've had a good experience living here for almost two years. The building staff at the reception are very supportive and accommodating, especially during the pandemic. Whenever I had an issue with my apartment, they were understanding and proactive in resolving it. The security guards are very nice people as well and deal with tenant issues in a respectful way. I would recommend living here if you are a young professional or couple looking for a place to get started for a few years and enjoy living central downtown.

We lived here for one year. The location of the building is great for professionals working in the downtown area. I have to say that the maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful, and the building managers are, although hard to reach sometimes, at least doing their jobs. However, the building is very old so you should be prepared for many unexpected circumstances. During our short stay, we experienced at least three power outages, two unexpected water shutdowns due to plumbing problems, two heating shutdowns during the winter and cockroach issues. It's a tradeoff between the perfect location and these dramas.

Don't live here, don't live here, don't live here. The rooms around 11th floor has suffered from huge sharp noise (you can even hear it clearly with ear plugs on) from the water pipe for 1 year. Every time I report this to the staff of the building they will just say they are trying to solve it. I believe that they are doing nothing and just be perfunctory (what kind of issues took you more than 1 year to solve it?).

Hi. Worst management I have ever seen. They just lie in your face. It’s been seven months here and I will never renew my lease. The doors of closets were broken when I moved in and they promised they gonna fix it, seven months now and they haven’t even touched the door. The worst part is they always lie. They promised they will replace the cabinet doors they never did that. It’s just a continuous torture talking to them. This is my first Experience after coming to Canada. Just can’t comprehend why they doing this, I would recommend you, if you don’t have any place to live and Capreit guys giving you a place for free, even then think twice because they don’t keep their words. One more thing ,they will tell you they got a gym, but don’t trust them just go and see and you will find only one treadmill is working. Bugs and cockroaches are common, even after treatment. AVOID THIS PLACE.

TERRIBLE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to view this apartment building in person before moving in so I was only given a virtual tour of their 'model unit' (which looks nothing like the actual units they have). On moving day, they gave me the filthiest unit I have ever seen (mold and garbage everywhere, broken appliances, dirty walls and this hideous wooden panel where the AC used to be). A few days later, I found out that my apartment was infested with cockroaches (and it is likely the management knew about this because I bumped into the previous tenant who said that she had brought this to their attention). I talked to the property manager about this issue and he did not take me seriously (he said that they would be able to hire exterminators in a couple weeks which is WAY too long to be waiting for a serious infestation!). Moral of the story - stay away from this terrible place unless you enjoy dealing with incompetent management :) EDIT: I had exterminators come in four times and it made no difference, I still saw cockroaches. They even have the audacity to increase the rent! Avoid this garbage place and save yourself your sanity!

I do not recommend renting from CAPREIT especially this building in particular. The most striking point is that it is heavily infested with bugs and roaches on every floor - given from the reviews, everyone suffers from this problem which comes to shows there is a very very big issue here that is not being taken seriously. I’ve had so many treatments with unsatisfying results. Noise isolation is terrible, you hear everything. Even the trash being thrown out from the floors above (via the garbage shoot) is extremely loud and sudden no matter what time of day (so expect glass bottles are being thrown out at 1 am). Heating system is so old and your apartment gets cold very fast especially during the winter you freeze. There is a lack of privacy and there’s always something going on, never peace and quiet. The alarm system goes off randomly in the middle of the day and night. Management is unprofessional, you really need to push them in order to get things done - but when the inquiry comes from them, they expect things to be done asap or else you end up in a bad situation (automatic lease renewal, administrative fees, etc). Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all cost for your own good.

you guys... just save yourself the time and do not live here. although i enjoyed being close to downtown and near my friends, it is just not worth it. like all the other low rated reviews, it's loud, dirty, it smells, construction inside, cockroaches all the time despite all the treatments they do. My apartment flooded one time due to the neighbours pipes, ruined some of my belongings. they always had to 'come into my apartment to check' on many random things. Fire alarms going off once a week at least, elevators not working, power outages, etc. Despite things not being fixed in my apartment, they came in weekly to see what they would improve for the next tenant. Honestly, it was exhausting how many notices I received from them telling me they needed to come into my apartment for something, they should've just moved in with me. anyway, it's a nice location and it isn't their fault about the noise outside.. but city noise hardly bothers me. it was exciting for me at first because it was the first apartment i ever lived in alone so i had good memories, but definitely think about living here before you commit!
