★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every town in Ontario worth going to has shops that will separate you from your money for no apparent reason other than you're in town and have to justify being there, you all know what I mean. River Guild Fine Crafts is not one of those shops - it is packed with genuinely high-quality local product from some very talented artisans. Gorgeous and unique pottery, surprisingly fine jewellery, lovely knitwear, and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Nothing else like this around. Left with a stunning silver ring made by Ellen Fraser, who was kind enough to revert within a day with the size we were looking for. Also acquired a gorgeous ~blue mug made by Anne Chambers, very unique piece, happy to give it a good home.
