★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice venue with good prices. The night we came the dishwasher had broken down and the wait staff seemed overly busy as a result, unfortunately this led them to being somewhat unfriendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ River City Pub does not want non BC patrons: December 27th the manager/greeter looked at our Alberta official vaccination records with QR code, he pretended to scan them stating these are not official and refused us entry.
He was rude, arrogant and negative; no sense arguing with him, we left. We used our vaccination records many times whilst in BC with no problems; this was a blatant attack against us being non-residents.
We went to another nearby restaurant where we showed our records which they scanned with no issues thus we enjoyed a fabulous meal.
This was pure unadulterated Covid discrimination. River City Pub should place a sign on the door stating BC residents only. We will never return to this establishment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The server was accommodating by providing a couple of IPA samples. She was very prompt and helpful. The food had significant value for money and the quality was good for a pub. The venue looks clean but getting worn and dated. We had a beef dip and ribs for lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sub par service from waitress, messed up orders (didn’t attempt to write them down), forgot appetizers and brought them out with the mains, added extra charge onto bill that I needed to have refunded. Waitress seemed annoyed that we wanted to order food immediately with our drinks.
Manager was excellent but wouldn’t recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and a few friends went to the pub for a few drinks. I was the designated driver for the night. Everything went smoothly until we went to go pay our bills. Our one friend had to leave early and when he went to go pay the waitress said he was all good and that he already paid so he left. Once we were ready to leave we got the waitress to get our bills and a couple of people in our group went to the washroom while she was getting our bills and once she got back she started accusing the people in the washroom of ditching on our bill in a very hostile way and we explained that they were in the washroom and she even accused my friend that left early that he ditched the bill after she told him he was all good and paid. Would not recommend service was horrible and food was sub par! It definitely felt like it was an attitude situation as we were the only non Caucasian group in the pub. I have never experienced such an embarrassing situation and being accused of attempting to ditch on our bill was unacceptable. We are here for work often and I will never recommend this establishment or visit again.
