★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initially I wrote a review that was condemning of Bowwest because service and response time was lacking, but I have noticed an improvement in these areas. A big shout out to Marce for her passion and compassion as an advocate. Sometimes when life gets intense its easy to lash out at the people who are available, but its not the people, its the system that is the true problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried to access a program and never heard back from them. Then over a year later had my phone call returned. I explained that i was desperate to the point of giving my kids up and jumping in front of a bus. The person in charge then called me to " investigate " but after having been told low i was and close to ending it she laughs at me. Called the board of directors and was asked " well what do you want us to do?" Shows me how they view the plight of the single father, no sympathy whatsoever.
Edit: they just replied to me asking for my contact info as they dont have it. Pretty funny considering ive spoken to three different people at your org and have called your board of directors asking to make a complaint, all my contact info was given to them yet you dont have my info. Liars

The Food bank referred me to her to get a referral for a Christmas hamper for my kids.
I am a single mom of FOUR under age 12 and although she returned my call, she was completely useless in providing any assistance what so ever, and was adamant that there was nothing she could do. Not to mention going off wbout how she was unaware which ressources were available, and to boot when I mentioned that I had seen one that requires a referral, without even knowing which one I was talking about she said that, "oh, we don't work with that organization".
... but you don't know which organization I was talking about, so how would you know that you do not work with them?
I suggest calling someone actually willing to try and help you instead of Germaine, if you're already in a crummy situation, she will only make you feel more useless.
