k	ken enlow on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paid a deposit to assess a speaker. Waited 3 months to be told it would be difficult and cost quite a bit. He was nice enough but for that service query and the time it took, I feel I should have gone elsewhere. Which is funny because I hadn’t been to Ring in about 25 years at an older location. I can only imagine why. Still... I like having these vintage shops around. I just won’t be going there anymore. Unless I forget and take something in 20 years from now...
D	Dave Bateman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped off my amplifier about 7 months ago, every time I phone for an update the reply I get is 'they are working on it', 'it's not quite ready', 'the guy who works on it directly just left', 'I'm not they guy but I'll get an update be called back within two days'...I never get a call. Disgusted at this point with the lack of service. I understand the parts maybe hard to come by but it's been over four months since they got the parts on a previous inquiry I made. For a company in business for this long you'd think they'd be more attentive. I came to them because I believed they were the best for my needs. Clearly other customers are being prioritized or something else.

Best of all, the team was open to me putting a deposit down to hold my spot in their backlog while they cleared it. That means I was able to bring my unit in only when they were actually ready to work on it, and turnaround time from that point was only 2 days. Awesome stuff!

I was able to go to them in order for them to repair the chord for my Dt 990 pros, and they were able to do so in under an hour. It was great to be able to rely on repairmen who actually know how to do repairs (unlike a lot of other "repair shops" around Toronto). They were quite friendly too! Highly recommended, especially if you're in the hi fi community ?!

R	Rob Nicholls on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a Tonar replacement stylus for my Excell cartridge and it is wonderful! Not easy to find a variety of replacement stylus's locally, so kudos to Ring Audio! What a treasure this shop is for the city of Toronto!

I was told in an email that buying and installing a cartridge would be "a total of $406" and when I went to pick it up they charged me $574. They said they needed to use a $60 adapter, but didn't bother to call and tell me that. They also claim that the 'total price' didn't include tax. The math still doesn't add up even in that case. They've been totally uncooperative afterwards. They also took more than twice as long as they said they would to put the thing on. I should have done it myself. The cartridge on amazon is $344, which is why a 'TOTAL' price around $406 made sense to me. I have the whole discussion on email. Live and learn. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. The lid of my turntable was also seized up and not opening properly. I asked Ted if he could do anything to fix it. He took hold of it, tried to force it open and broke it. He never bothered to apologize or try to fix it. Very disappointing.
