Nice alternative to the Alpine trail next to it. The ridge trail has more altitude gain/loss, and is less traveled. Good views all along the way.

Nice short trail good for snow shoeing. A few uphill courses are bit challenging, but turn to great sledding when you head down?

I loved this trail! We went on a day where it was raining and still had a blast. I would recommend the snowshoeing trail, riding the sleigh or the light walk. The snow makes for a nice scenic view. You can easily spend a few hours hiking and just enjoying nature.

Beautiful views. Snow makes it majestic, very quiet, and tranquil. Coming back down is super fun with all the sliding! Can’t wait to be back to experience it in summer too. The trail is well maintained but closer to the peak it can get dangerous. On a sunny day, you can see all of Vancouver and even UBC. Snowshoe rentals are also reasonable and that’s what we did.

Travel past Snag Tree (9WQC+FXC North Vancouver, British Columbia) & begin ascending the trail. The trail forks after ~100 meters. In winter, the trail to the east is called Fritz's way (aka Alpine Trail in summer & follows a less avalanche prone route during winter). The ridge trail (aka Snowshoe Grind) is the western trail that travels up & over Dam mountain. Both trails meet on the northern side of Dam mountain continuing to Crown or Goat Mountains.
