About Ricky's All Day Grill - Gateway
From our humble origins as breakfast experts – to today’s menu with dozens of modern dishes for any time of the day, Ricky’s is a place where everyone feels at home.
Ricky’s opened its doors in Vancouver in 1962 as Ricky’s Pancake House, famous for buttermilk pancakes, value breakfast specials, and the very best service. Ricky’s expanded in the 1980s to include full lunch and dinner. As well, in 2014, Ricky’s acquired ABC Country Restaurants, a chain that had delivered great country fare for over 40 years. This merge brought together two great brands, both with a rich history of delivering exceptional food and service to Canadian families.
In 2017, the Ricky’s brand further expanded with the launch of Ricky’s Café, a new contemporary café concept with an express burger and sandwich bar and gourmet home meal takeout service. All while still serving the famous breakfasts and high quality lunch and dinner items Ricky’s is known for.
With ongoing expansion, including new locations opening in Alberta and BC, Ricky’s has 85+ locations across Canada to serve you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had supper here on a Sunday night, only a few customers were in the restaurant, so we thought the supper would be quick, first we ordered prawns for an appetizer only to be told 10 minutes later they didn't have any, so ordered new appies. The liver and onions was not the best, the mashed potatoes were cold and the the gravy looked like it was served a day ago or left under the heat lamp for several hours. Based on the meal not sure I'll go back.

Ricky's is HORRIBLE
NO quality anymore. The food used to be half decent. Just gone down hill fast. Nothing cooked properly. Most things have no taste. Never have items in menu. Have had over a 100 of meals there staying in the hotel in the past and now I order out. I will never eat there again. Terrible room service. Will go bankrupt I'm sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The food is always delicious. Their staffs remember your preference, especially Luz & Archana (I think that is the spelling). She treat every guest by heart, remember them and make them feel like part of it. In a few words of what you want, she will just suggest the right food from their variety menu. This carbonara dish is awesome with good portion not like some other restaurants cutting out the cost while charging the same price. I recommend this place with your family & friends. You won't regret. Oh, the only downside is, Gateway Blvd is a one-way street which means you have to make a big u turn if you missed it lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the restaurant with my husband to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we much appreciate the ambience the service was outstanding the general manager visited our table 3 times she was. Very humble we love that place of course we will come back with lot of friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee was horrible but I think that’s how it is in every restaurant you go to. The cream for the coffee was spoiled. The waffles for the chicken and waffles were so dry and hard and pretty inedible. The chicken was good and mostly crispy. The eggs Benedict was tasteless but edible.
