★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun little spot with a great patio. Super talented bartenders and in house themed cocktails. Don't leave without trying the sweet and spicy chicken (aka jerk chicken spin off) and be sure to use the loo for some insta worthy wallpaper ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't believe I lived in Calgary this long without going to this place, it really is a hideaway. Let me tell you what you're missing out on - AWESOME service, the drinks were outstanding and I would highly recommend the classic daiquiri. Then, when we thought it couldn't get any better, our food came and I was blown away. We got the Jamaican patties which were good, but the Maui Rib was soo good we ordered another. We probably could have gone for thirds but i had an excessive amount of meat that day. Before leaving I went to the washroom which held an awesome surprise in the form of fun wallpaper. perfect for selfies....although the lighting wasn't great lol. The only thing i would change about this place is the uncomfortable bar stools - super cramped. Everything else was perfect, this place just speaks to my soul and I will be going back often now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was excellent! Made the mistake of coming here when I couldn't eat meat so we ordered the meatless dishes and everything we ate was delicious! The cheese empanada is a must! Service was amazing! Will definitely be back when we can try everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The patio is super cute and nice atmosphere. Only downside is that it's currently facing a ton of construction and it's hard to get to also for that reason. Not a lot of food on the menu and some items are a bit pricey, but the food is delicious and service is great. The cheese empanadas are my favourite!

Let’s see where to begin…
As soon as we walked in the door for our reservation the doorman was rude while checking vaccine QR codes.
The heat didn’t even work in the bar at temperatures of -30c outside…. Like how is this bar even open if they can’t provide heat for the customers…..
oh it gets better, they had one small heater directed at a table so we asked if we could get one and the server said that was the only heater.
Then the main gimmick they advertised for the season, the drink in a Santa mug they didn’t even have because they said they were stolen….
This place is a dodgy dive bar charging $15 for juice with a dash of booze.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I visited Ricardo’s hideaway we were greeted by a very polite and happy to talk bartender. The drinks were amazing and the bartender was very good. The plantain chips were absolutely delicious and the Jamaican beef patty was perfect and not too overpriced. I highly recommend this place to anyone who values the atmosphere, service and a huge variety of drinks. Thank you to the amazing bartender who made our experience wonderful, and made us feel right at home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ John the bartender served cocktails to cover the spectrum. The Hawaiian Ryan and Lights Out worked the rum range. Cashew nuts fit. His own Black River is an obvious hit. Every good drink has a story and a craftsman. The Caribbean theme and music made the places groove.
