G	Garrett Hendriks on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool place: the decor is eclectic & engaging without being distracting. There are four rotating taps, the menu is built as a 'zine of off-kilter references, hidden jokes, fantastically curated beer, and delicious sounding food. I went in thinking I'd try a side-pull pour from the taps, maybe the black perogies. I ended up staying fit a couple hours with pretzels, biscuits in mushroom gravy, bottle of a smoke beer, a Flanders red, and an amazing farmhouse sour. But I think that's kind of the point: The foundation is amazing beer to twin and elevate / be elevated by robust food. The vibe on top of that is warmly tongue-in-cheek, relaxed and conversational. There's nothing really like it in Calgary, and it makes me want to go back for more.

Highly recommend for any occasion, even dining alone as the people watching at the window will keep you occupied.

Lots of selection/changing menus, beers you normally won’t find anywhere else, and good eats! The vibe is unreal and the people are even better. Bill being Alberta’s first cicerone is extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly, I love the passion when we chat and I always learn something new. Really cool place and I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy.

The bottle menu will have a certain appeal to beer nerds, but may be lost on a lot of people, lots of premium bottles and awesome selection but comes at a higher cost. The tap beers were a nice offering, the Annex sour they are featuring is excellent. The food was pretty good, definitely inspired and thoughtful. The portions were pretty typical bar snack sizes, good for small plates or tapas style. Everything was good, but nothing was really exemplary. The wings were tasty but maybe overly wet/moist (not too much of a knock, I just prefer crispier wings). The dessert I had was excellent. If you need a chill space to try some new beers and we’ll prepared food, this fits the bill. I appreciated the vibe of this place for a catch up with a friend.

We always order food first and ask Bill for a recommendation on a beer to go with it, have never been disappointed. Decor, crossword puzzle, music, food, beer and service, everything is spot on.

Food is really good, and general vibe is really chill. Lots to look at and chat about. Menu comes with a modern day crossword puzzle, ask for a pen. Very clever, can’t want to go back!
