The dishes I had were on point, the atmosphere as fun and fresh as ever, and excellent service and beverages. A worthy addition to Inglewood!

Yup, they got it, and it's the best. Get the egg yolk in the dipping sauce that comes with them. Can't wait to come back and try more!

A	A P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non-Gwailo review of “Gwailo”. Tried this new Asian fusion place tonight. We tried the BBQ Pork Buns and Shrimp Dumplings for appetizers. The BBQ Pork Buns comes in three small pieces filled with tasty pork; the bun portion was a little sticky/chewy as I was expecting it a bit more fluffy. The shrimp dumplings were delicious and tasty with the sweet shrimp; the tare sauce complimented it really well. I had the Dan Dan Noodle dish. The noodles were fresh and cooked to the right chewiness. I didn’t find it too spicy and there was a lot of meat in the dish. The Leche Flan was a nice way to end the meal. The flan felt a bit thick to cut through but it surprisingly melted in your mouth and had the right amount of sweetness. The Ovaltine ice cream was creamy delicious. The service was great and they were very attentive to our needs. My friends had some cocktails which they raved about; they were reasonably priced as well. I do think overall the meal was great but needed a bit more “Asian” flavour and more “umph” in general. The restaurant has potential and looking forward to trying their other dishes in the future.
O	Olivia Lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a pleasant surprise. Judging by the name of the restaurant, I thought it'll be a mediocre fusion restaurant. But I have to say I like 5 out of the 6 things we've ordered. Lamb skewer was tender and flavorful, the soft shell crab was soft and crunchy, steak fried rice was saucy but good flavor too. The one downfall was the steamed clams which took so much effort to unshell the tiniest pieces of meat. The sauce was also way too strong, maybe it should come with a bowl of rice? Anyhow it's a cute place, though it doesn't feel original. This is like a 2.0 from the previous Gorilla Whale.
