★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rachel Baron is not a good mediator. Very expensive and not at all worth the price. Before the mediation process my lawyers were asking her how much time we have for mediation based on the prep-work she has done prior to the mediation and she would not answer the question. To be clear she costs close to $500 an hour. Again VERY expensive so I wanted to know on the day of the actual mediation how much time we would have before our retainer ran out. I had to call her myself and after some coaxing on the phone from me she told me approximately how much time we had for the actual mediation. During the mediation she told my lawyers she did not like that I called her to ask how much time we had for mediation before our retainer ran out. She even had the nerve to say that our matrimonial house located in Ajax, Ontario did no go up in value between Dec 2021 and Mar 2022 because it was not located in the GTA even though Durham Ontario is part of the GTA. During the mediation she did not use any negotiation skills to resolve the issues. She was completely bias to my estranged wife and was presenting completely unreasonable solutions. All she did was relay messages between us. She was completely prejudiced against me. It was a complete waste of time and I don't recommend Rachel to anyone.
