In the room we had the air conditioning worked sometime they owner ( it was 39 outside) but there was a fan in the room. No ice machine but you could buy bags at the front desk. Unfortunately he was out and didn't feel it was necessary to get more for his guests or possibly call someone in to fix the air conditioner? It's old and could definately use some upgrading! It was clean though, just very very very dated! Kinda like you were back in a 70s room.

View from the third floor is fantastic, you can see the lake , and of course if the road is not that busy , you can sit outside . The room is ok, I believe they repainted the walls. Nevertheless the bed sheets and bed covers are still too old. I could not recognize the color of the blanket, as it was really faded. Carpets need a good clean , or even a change. The spots on the carpets are so visible. Air conditioning is working , not that much effective though . But there is an additional fan . Employees are ok, they are just fine.

Room numbers scotch taped to doors. Tiles lifting off the floor. AC that does not cool the space. A beach towel used as an area rug to cover damage to the carpet. The location is great. The hotel is not. The staff are solid.

Go ahead and post this but I did contact the Chamber of Commerce and Occupational Health and Safety hoping that you will maybe put some effort into making it safe for the public. Also retaliation towards a business that is run successfully and with the clients interests in mind is never a good idea. Please don't deny you put a bad review on my business, I am admitting posting a bad one against your business. The only difference is I used your business, you didn't hire me for anything.
M	Meagan Graburn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't want to take my sandals off in this room. The curtains hadn't been washed in 20 years, at least. The tub was clean and the sink was clean. I had to use my own bedding on the bed and double stack it before it was comfortable. Didn't even consider sitting on the "couch". I only stayed there one of three nights I booked it for, also because I was attending a wedding, and found out there was an extra space there (thankfully) I did try to cancel, they wouldn't let us, so we paid $500 which I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't disgusting. See for yourself, however, I'm sure there are better deals in Sylvan Lake. ?Ps. The view of the lake was beautiful though I guess it was 500? ??
T	TM on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't understand the fuss with the bad reviews. I booked a room there and saw things for myself. I got a smoking room, but the owner switched me to a non-smoking room when I told him I was never a smoker. People don't appreciate having a decent cheap hotel at a popular tourist spot right in front of the lake. For its location, the price range could have been much higher. The hotel owner cares for you, people! The best part of my stay was having a real KITCHENETTE! The kitchenette contains: ▪︎a cooking STOVE! ? ▪︎ cooking pots and pans! ? ▪︎extra utensils like spoons, forks, plates, mugs/glasses ▪︎ dish drying rack ▪︎ dishwashing liquid ▪︎ a kitchen sink with a faucet ▪︎ a microwave ▪︎ a mini fridge (that is much bigger than what they usually have in hotels) ▪︎ a bread toaster ▪︎ a small dining table and chairs I have stayed at big hotels, but most of them NEVER had a kitchen sink! I dislike using the bathroom sink for washing my utensils and water bottles when I need to. You don't have to use the extra wares, but they are handy in case you need them. The extra bed disguised as a big closet is a nice surprise. Nice view of the lake from the top porch! That night, the aurora showed up right above the lake, and I took pics from the top porch as well. Who would think I'm paying cheap for this view??? I will stay at this hotel again. E	Eldon Wald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is the worst place I've ever stayed in and I stay in a lot of hotel's. Be worned of cold showers! Cold rooms one day and hot rooms the next day. There isno cooperation from the front desk other then wait half hour but if you've be waiting half hour all night it gets pretty old! Save your money and sped it somewhere else! Absolutely no consideration or acknowledgement to their guests. If I could give them no stars I would!
S	Sanjeev Gaur on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compared to it's price, motel was nothing, poor quality. Washroom was not clean, bed was not comfortable and building of motel was deteriorating. Management need to spend some money to facelift before jack up room prices. Would not recommend at all!!
