★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called Pro star Plumbing & heating to fix my furnace as we had no heat.
They gave me a couple of options. Fix my 18 year old furnace or replace it with a new one. I decided to go with a new furnace as that was the best option. Darcy was so helpful explaining the cost to repair and operate an 18 year old furnace vs the new efficient furnace we installed. We now get instant heat. Our new furnace runs half as much. Best decision we could have make. Professional and considerate with a personal touch. Best company I have dealt with in years. Thanks Darcy And Pro star.

He also took the time to ensure the thermostat was set properly after I had done something incorrectly. Having completed the inspection and already left, He took the time to come back and fix it. Totally above and beyond expectations. Would recommend nothing less than excellent rating for this employee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were extremely impressed how quickly Darcy came out when our Furnace stopped working. He assessed the situation, gave us a few quotes and helped us choose what was best for our home. He left us with some space heaters to keep us comfortable until the team returned for the install. Shawn and Nahome were great! They were fast, efficient, corteous and had our new furnace installed in no time. They left the area spotless and even took the time to explain the new thermostat. I highly recommend this company and although you always hope you won’t need them, it’s nice to know they are there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The CLEANEST plumber we have ever had!! So happy the serviceman was here within an hour of our call. He was friendly and informative and again SO CLEAN. Rags and mats for everything he did. Tidied up as he worked and didn’t leave a single drop on our stairway or entryway even though it snowed 6 inches last night. This is exactly why we keep their company magnet on our fridge. First call every time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service response time was excellent, we were happy to have someone come out to our house quickly as we were out of heat during a cold snap.
The problem was diagnosed as the high limit switch and we agreed to have it replaced the following day. We regret not getting a second quote on the work and believe that the pricing model used by this company caused us to waste hundreds of dollars. This company uses flat rate pricing, so cost of parts for your particular furnace is not taken into account in the pricing of your particular job.
However, since we agreed to the price prior to the work being done there was nothing really to be done.
Another problem was found when the high limit switch was replaced. We were quoted more than $4000 to fix the new problem, the secondary heat exchanger. When looking around more we were able to find a company to complete this repair for $600.
When I called to express my concerns and emotions, the employee was able to explain their flat rate pricing system and offered to have the technician return to my house and remove the part if I was unhappy with the price. I acknowledged that I did agree to the price prior to the installation and that I had no desire to have them remove it during the worst wave of a global pandemic.
The staff who came to our house were polite, friendly, worked quickly and left the workspace very clean.

Gerry was more responsive than I anticipated, and when I wasn't ready for him he made it work without question. The site inspection was fast and estimates for work had options; no guesswork about the final bill. The actual repair was less than an hour. I felt that I made the right choice for the repair and the warranty has me at ease even more so.
Update and Round 2 - My whole furnace retired itself, fortunately I knew who to call. Darcy came out an inspected it and gave me the grim news but with options well laid out. They were also very kind to offer me a partial credit on the previous repair towards a new furnace; I had no interest in another repair. The installers (Sean and his apprentice) were fantastic, the product is remarkable, and Darcy's follow up made me feel the whole time that he was there for any concern and will continue to be going forward.

I liked that he was able to display several faucet options allowing us to pick the one we liked best. It looks even better installed. We're happy to have the shut off valves installed as well; they were much needed. We would gladly refer ProStar to anyone. Thank you Darcy for your professionalism.
