★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heading to Skidegate? Overnight crossing? I would highly recommend gravol and reserving a cabin. It is a relief to get into a cabin and have a somewhat restful sleep. Cafeteria opened on a limited basis -- grab a warm drink as soon as you get on board.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drove to Prince Rupert to catch the ferry up the inside passage heading to Anchorage. Reserved a cabin and had a blast getting to know all of the wonderful people I met! Several of us got off in Juneau to have a little party and returned to continue our journey to Anchorage. Tons of bald eagles dotted the trees along the way. I also saw tons of wildlife including caribou, moose, dahl sheep, sea otters, and some whales. Some of these were seen after leaving the ferry system, but it was amazing overall!
