Our History

Power Tool Klinic was founded in 1977. At that time, we took small tool repairs. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-service tool repair company and a new location.

We’ve also expanded our services to fix all major brands and types of tools -- including stationary tools, tablesaws, joiners, planers, drill presses and bandsaws.

Come see us at our new location. There’ll be a technician around to answer any questions you may have. Or call or email us today to see what we can do for you.

despite my 12 amp being on back order for the last two months, the staff are never annoyed when I call and update me with information to the best of their ability. sending it in for warranty was painless. Remember, if your item is taking a while to ship it is not the staffs fault, all they do is act as a shipper and receiver. don't be an rude if ur item is taking a while, it is out of their control. will warranty products here in the future due to painless process regardless of my battery being on a 2 month back order. its covid what do u expect

I cannot speak to their quality or repair work, but will find a different repair shop to use when replacing Ryobi and/or Ridgid batteries under warranty when they go bad. All seemed good when they replaced a 3AHr 40V Ryobi battery for me, but when I eventually went to use it, it would not take a charge. I called immediately at this point as was told they would give me another and when told I was rural an not sure when I could get it back, I was told no problem, they would make a note. When I eventually had someone bring it in, he was told it had been more than a month since the replacement (it had been more than a month when I first tried to charge it) so nothing they could do. I am not providing this rating based on that policy which may be set by the manufacturer, I am providing the rating based on the lack of communicating this at the time of replacing the battery, or on the call after the battery failed to charge, or on the call before sending someone in with the battery as well as the fact that they β€œknow nothing about it” when my guy arrived an hour after talking to someone about and saying it was on its way in and the rude manner in which my guy was treated when there. I am glad I have never given this company any of my money and will go further out of my way to find a repair shop that has some respect for its customers and doesn’t outright lie to them.

Took a chop saw in, got a quote they said the switch was gone and you can’t buy a new one. They said I could pick the saw up or they could recycle it for me. Picked it up, saw was not put back together motor was of switch was out. Took it home put it back together found the switch on Amazon took 5 minutes to find cost 20 buck. I’m think they were trying to keep the saw for parts or fix and re sell. It’s also pretty dirty inside, seems to be a Scummy places

Was quoted nearly $150 to repair a drill. (30 minutes minimum labour, likely 1 hour) . I Was told to buy a new one, and its not worth repair. I went home. YouTubed a video. Easy easy to do myself in 5 minutes. Ordered the part for $26 and my drill is working just fine again. I'm sure this place would be worth getting a valuable tool repaired but It would have been nice to see a fair price for my minor repair.

Consistently does great work for our Electricians. Always happy to take a phone call and advise on lead times or return dates for tool repairs. Thanks for everything.

I went in to get warranty work completed on a failed connector for a Ryobi Pressure washer. They did the work and it failed again. Went back again to get the repair done, they advised they cannot do it unless I have a receipt. I had lost my receipt, which I understand is my fault. However, I picked up my washer and they lost the gun. The lady over the phone said that I never gave them the gun. This is a blatant lie, as why would I give a pressure washer without the gun, how would you be able to test it without one? Even for the first repair I was asked to drop the gun with it. I am not sure who to blame here, they lost it, someone stole it... Poor service. Have lodged an official complaint to Ryobi directly. Pick up your standards and own up to it. It goes a long way for a business to survive in these times. Thank you

I'm a very happy first-time customer at this place. They fixed my Ridgid Thickness Planer with a very reasonable turnaround time. Everyone I came into contact with, over the phone or in person, was helpful. They help you with the loading and unloading of your heavy machine from your car. I've been much impressed by their front desk staff member A. who is genuinely cheerful with a helpful attitude. With such a good first impression, I'll go to this shop when any of my woodworking machines needs servicing in the future.

I'm giving the review of 3/5 as they did the job as requested. I wouldn't say much in terms of customer service, as without the ticket they provide to you during drop off, it doesn't seem like they're willing to search or help locate the tool or invoice. I appreciate I didn't have the ticket on me, but when asking her if we could search via phone number or name, she didn't seem very hopeful, but tried anyways. She wasn't able to locate it using my full name or business name, and simply said there's nothing she can do without the ticket. I didn't argue and went to my vehicle to locate it, luckily enough I did find it. I think that's what upset me more then anything, because once I provided her the ticket, she interuped me and said "Ah it was just under Peter". I provided her my full name, so I'm sure she could've located it if she wanted to put more effort in, but I'm not here to tell her how to run her business. The tool repair was fine, it was dropped off during Nov '21, and was repaired by Jan.28 from the notes on the invoice. The only time I ever received any notification it was ready for pick up was via text on March 28. Made me wonder, if it was a landline that didn't accept a text, what would've happened? As they clearly state after 60 days, they will sell your tool to cover the cost of repairs. Lastly, the tool was much dirtier then when I dropped it off, as I remember cleaning it before dropping it off, simply out of professional courtesy. Like I mentioned earlier, they did the job that was asked, but outside of that, I wasn't happy with the service. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was dealing with someone difficult before I came in, or had a bad morning. Moving forward, I wouldn't be running back to them as my first option for repairs, but if I do, I'll be sure to keep my ticket in a safe place and follow up on my own accord. Thank you for servicing my tool, and I genuinely hope you can take the feedback knowing there is no such ill intent on my part. All the best, Peter.
