*This review is for the Stanley Street Greenway (I submitted to Google to designate the location but not showing, so I will post it here). The Stanley Street Greenway is a wonderful flat trail to walk in Queensborough, New Westminster. There is a lot of street parking near the entrance at Stanley St and Ewen Ave. A gravel path leads to Salter St which leads further down to near the Annacis Channel. From there it is a beautiful walk along the path and a bridge to near Port Royal Park and the Port Royal Ferry Dock. From the dock, you can take the ferry to the River Market Shopping Mall in New Westminster. Although the Greenway path officially stops near the dock, you can continue on the path around the condos and townhouses. There is a great deck with three chairs and some benches to take a break at. Further on you will come to the wooden train swing bridge that crosses Fraser River. If you are lucky you will see it in action. The path meets with the Queensborough Perimeter Trail. At one point there are two benches at a stepped landing, which overlooks the Fraser and has access to the shore. The Trail exits onto Furness St which connects back to Ewen Ave and a short walk back to Stanley St. This whole hike is beautiful morning to night, with nice views of South and New Westminster and the connecting bridges, and Poplar Island. They might extend the trail west once the current construction along Duncan Street is done, which would take you all the way to the commercial area by the Queensborough Connector Bridge. For now, just walk west on Duncan (off Furness), go right at Stanley Street, and you will be back on the shore trail which terminates at Walmart. Daniel

This place is so cute. Tuck away at the end of the eastern end of Queensborough within the residential area. I never imagine it is so pretty here. I mean all those townhouses are now a dream to live in. The seawall overlooking New West and Surrey is spectacular. There’s a ferry that commute over to the Quay marketplace… saw people coming back with 6 packs ?. Great alternative to the other aqua bus in Vancouver which are really for most tourist.

Beautiful awesome place to walk. It’s really a wonderful walk and you also can go for cycling there. A small beach for 3-4 people but go at your risk as rocks are slippery and not balanced. Drinking water taps at 3 places and Toilets at Port royal park area. Not very clean. A few benches so you can sit to have fun in sunshine. You can also take a ferry from there. Not very expensive. Bird I have seen there are. Hummingbird, dark eye junco, common water birds. Staller Jay, flickers American Robin and starlings. Good idea to keep binoculars with you.
