Port Renfrew RV Resort

We were in Site B it nice and big and we loved the landscaping that was there. A little walk down into the town brings you to the marina and little pubs and stores. boost the wifi a smidge and it would be perfect.

Calling this place a “resort" is a stretch, although it certainly has the potential to be one. It's clean, beautifully laid out, with a westcoast feel, but there’s no amenities whatsoever....no washrooms, showers, laundry, or (as a resort might suggest), pool. Maybe there’s future plans? However, if you’re looking for quiet, peaceful relaxation or outdoor activities this is definitely the place. My favourite thing here is the absolute quiet nights with no artificial light in sight. With that, & the fresh air, you'll sleep like a baby. There’s an excavator operator somewhere who deserves kudos for massive boulder & log placement, creating a lovely landscape. Seems about 25% permanent residents, tidy & removed from short-term sites, except for one....appears to be onsite caretaker using tarps like a homeless encampment. He doesn’t seem to do too much except run around on a quad & smoke weed. Pick a site away if you don’t like the smell. The sites are huge, covered in crushed rock, so very clean. Not quite level, so tweaking may be necessary. They have been designed beautifully, but seem neglected since initially created. I couldn’t stand the amount of non-indigenous weeds, so pulled the big ones out myself. Hopefully some maintenance will take place before the weeds take over. No picnic tables, which could.be because of COVID, but we saw no signs of there ever having been any. It was a real bummer for us, as we weren’t advised we needed to bring our own. The Wifi is fine for the basics of email & social media. Just don’t expect those cat videos to load. Fine with us. Hookups are brand new. Odd the water connection is in the ground under a "Sewer" plate. Maybe to avoid freezing? Power is 50 amp only. No 120V outlet if you’re looking for it. PROS: Quiet, clean, peaceful, natural, huge/private sites. CONS: No amenities, overpriced, lack of landscape maintenance, no picnic table.

Really enjoyed our stay. Site was beautiful, clean and landscaping was also very nicely done. Walking distance to the water and local pub. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever and would definitely stay there next time we are in Renfrew.

Nice large lot with good privacy, great location as you can easily walk to marina, beach and pub. My only complaint would be there is no picnic table provided, we were told this was due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No big deal, we brought our own table with us.

Great campground with all hookups. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the natural surroundings and the proximity to beach and Avatar Grove. Well-managed and maintained. Well worth the $65 per night we paid. Just remember there is no cell phone service in Port Renfrew!

We got to be the first guests. The campsites are big and private. Full hookups including WIFI. Well thought out with lovely landscaping. Our stay was nice and peacefull. Kyle was very friendly and had plenty of ideas for exploring Port Renfrew. Would come again. Read more

Great location for exploring the Port Renfrew area. Sites were nicely landscaped, a good size and very quiet while we were there. Short walk to the pier for sunsets! A table would have been nice but with Covid its understandable why it wasn't there. Would definitely come again.

Clean, level, brand new hook ups, well spaced out. Everyone is very friendly there. Cons: definitely no amenities no picnic table, poor WiFi connection which is a big deal given there is no phone service. We opted to stay here and paid more because we thought it was a resort but I think it’s a new facility and they are still building. We left our site early because there’s not much to do or see unless you’re there for the hikes.
