K	Kerri Vandervoort on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the lodge (the motel-type building up the hill) and it didn't look like much from the outside, but the room was beautifully updated, the bathroom was spacious and the bed was a dream. Check-in was easy and convenient, with keys in an envelope in a mailbox on the guest services building. Wifi is verrrryyy slow, but totally acceptable considering how rural it is. Plus, IMO there's no need to be on the internet in the gorgeous "wild Renfrew" wilderness and when Botanical Beach is so close! Being a tea drinker, I really appreciated the kettle and the variety of tea in the room! A couple things I would improve on would be the cleanliness of the floor and the amenities of the kitchenette. It would have been nice to have some paper towels, some more dishes, a strainer, utensils, pots/pans and a burner/hot plate. It seemed strange to us that there was a range hood but nothing to cook on. The bathroom also had a musty, sewage-y smell. Overall, would stay here again!

The staff is friendly, the accomodations are clean and modern, and the location is absolutely stunning. There is no cell service in the area which I consider a bonus! Always a relaxing and awe inspiring trip to nature.

Dirty, small, cold room with half eaten chicken left in refrigerator, a dirty coffee pot, mosquitoes in the room, TV console up against heat register and so dusty and dirty.. broken side table laps. I could go on but I think you get the point. No apology from the guest services but fortunately we didn't have to pay for the 2nd night as we couldn't stay another night it was so uncomfortable. Not worth $196/nt+!!!

Leftover coffee in the provided machine. A pair of underwear in the bathroom from previous guest. Room contained 2 twin beds which are too small to share with your partner. Room was always dank. Extremely overpriced.

We had a small kitchenette that included a microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and utensils/dishes - you are required to hand wash whatever dishes you use. Very quiet and walking distance to the pub. Note that there is no cell service in or near Port Renfrew. WCTL does have WiFi but it's not super strong.
M	Milan Kubik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time staying at the Lodge, generally stay at the cabins but they were all sold out. The Lodge is not the same caliber as the other properties but the price reflects it. We played 200$ a night for the room which was a bit pricey for the lodging although it was Easter weekend. The lodge is located within a ten minute walk to the pub so convenient, the grounds are nice, room was clean, freshly renovated I believe. The floors are not too solid so sound does travel if you are on the lower level, it sounded like there were horses galloping above us at times. The only thing that surprised me was the absence of a microwave in the room. There was a mini fridge, a folding eating table, coffee maker, electric kettle so a microwave was the only missing item. It was a bit inconvenient due to the fact that wr brought some food on our trip to be heated. Eitherway not a bad place but I would stay in the seaside cottages/rooms if had the opportunity.
L	L N on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi had such a great time last weekend staying at the West Coast Trail Lodge. The rooms were absolutely perfect. Everything was clean, warm and welcoming when I arrived. The pub was a 1 minute walk down the hill with a sea lion at the waterfront to greet me. It was the most peaceful and comfortable rest I've had in a long while. I loved the fact there was no cellphone reception. It allowed me to turn off, and fully immerse myself during my walks through the Juan de Fuca Provincial park. Of course there was some cable TV and wifi at the lodge, but if you're going solely for that you might be in the wrong place. Especially with the stunning, out of this world views outside your door. I cant wait to come back again in the summer!

This most recent visit there was a concern with the after hours check-in, but Katie responded quickly and helped us get into our lodging. Good customer service and the place was nice and warm during a cold Winter weekend.
