Plaza Premium Concept Lounge

So this sucks… I paid for Plaza Premium Lounge at terminal 1 in Toronto. They are u der construction I believe, so now the lounge is pre-security. You are in a lineup with thousands of people, in a cattle line. You can see a guy sitting at a desk 100 yards away, but you can’t leave the line, or at least feel like you can’t or you will lose your place. No one there to guide clients, and my money flushed down a toilet. I tried to call, the lovely lady gave me a phone number that no one answered. I would say don’t Easter your money!!!

A pittyfull lounge. Food is mediocre. Drinks are limited choice and you have to que. Lounge is very small and extremely crowded. Not worth going there.

Although modest, the lounge is spacious and roomy as you wait for your departure. A good option versus waiting at the gate to avoid the crowds. They do not provide table service nor any other service other than satisfy your food or drink request – or so was told! What it offers is a clean, quiet and spacious stopover until you move onward to your final destination.

TLDR: do not recommend. Cheap food and mediocre service. ——FOOD—— I visited this lounge during COVID. Since it is COVID, we were no longer able to get food ourselves, which makes sense. The food was of lower quality than cheap motel breakfasts (that should tell you how bad it is). The food available was beans, hash brown, sausages, and eggs. The eggs were bland because they offer salt, pepper, hot sauce, and ketchup. The hash brown was cold and tough. The sausage is old and dry (some were fresh and juicy). I didn’t eat the bean. ——Ambiance—— The furniture are outdated, small, and uncomfortable. The music was pleasant. It was classical at a low volume. The lounge is directly to the right after going through security at terminal 3. The security is very hectic and loud with lots of clanking. Not very relaxing to check in while you can hear those noises. However, after going inside, I couldn’t hear the noise from security. ——Service —— Reception took about 5 minutes to the payment sorted out. So not the quickest. The cleaning staff have their phone on ring and it was disruptive if you’re trying to relax. The staff also talked on the phone after looking around to see if his supervisor was looking. Not very relaxing to say the least. The tables weren’t cleared in a timely manner either. I went for seconds and had to clear my own table when I came back to my table. ——Conclusion —— It was not a pleasant experience at all. BUT take my words with a giant speck of sea salt because my partner and I were in a hurry and stressed from the early morning travel. The food is still bad. Just awful. I would never pay to visit a lounge this bad. I only visited it because it was complementary provided by my credit card.

One of the many Plaza premium Lounge in the Canadian airports it is located at the right side as soon as you finish the security custom check in Terminal 1 before going down the escalator domestic flights since priority pass and loungekey are no longer in conjunction with the Plaza premium lounges, the place is relatively empty and comfortable with not too much people compared To The Other places in this Airport Terminal The staff are very friendly and efficient on cleaning the tables and seats

This was the worst lounge I’ve ever been to. There were no forks, no glasses, half of the things from the menu were missing, you had to serve your own meal with whatever you could find (the same spoon that I was going to eat with, in my case), the lady working the kitchen always looked annoyed and tried to avoid everyone when we would ask for forks, ask about the menu. You could only get water and sprite from the drink dispenser because it wasn’t refilled and everything was dirty. The tables, the food containers and the floor. If you are thinking of paying the $50 dollar fee entry, do not. I would highly recommend checking any of the restaurants out instead or ordering food at your gate instead.

We had the pleasure of popping into the temporary lounge (before security) before our flight on April 16, 2022. We were impressed by how much space was available for their guests. There were various seating options including cube type work stations. The food, as usual was excellent. Chef Alicia and her Team made us feel very welcomed. They offered superb service. We are looking forward to visiting their regular lounge once all the renovations are completed. Keep up the great work!!

We spent a couple of hours at the Terminal 1 International Departures Lounge. It was severely overcrowded and I noticed several guests not wearing their masks properly. Alcohol selection was poor - one red wine, one white wine, bar rail, and Molson Export. Everything else, you have to pay extra. Bathrooms were dirty, dining room was dirty and tables weren't being wiped down, there was barely any clean glassware and cutlery. I'm sure staff was doing their best to keep up but I left feeling icky. It was also very hot in the lounge. Only bright spot was the food, which was surprisingly good if a little limited. But definitely not worth even the free passes we had to get in.
