Our animals have always been healthy and happy. We had a slight issue with our hedgehog and we called the store and they went above and beyond what was expected. I will continue to shop here for another 15 years. The staff are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and gracious. The prices are fair and the owner is a wonderful lady.
S	Shelby Hansen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am extremely disappointed and angry with Play Pen Pets. My father was in Edmonton on a work trip and picked up some food for my sugar glider. The price on the website for the glider complete is $22.99, my father without knowing paid $36.99. I called the store and the customer service was awful. The lady on the phone proceeded to tell me that the lady who was in charge of the website left the business a couple years ago..they did not update anything in two years. I have worked in customer service for a very long time and all of the businesses I have ever worked at honored the lower price if there were accidental false advertising. Overall, extremely poor service and ridiculous prices. Online prices from Exotic Nutrition are much cheaper.

D	Daniel Shurov on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was just curious to see what the store had to offer and I found out that they were offering baby cockatiels which I was looking for at a good price and so I have decided to adopt one and the helpful staff reccomended for me a good cage and essential bird products for my new baby cockatiel. I would definitely recommend to come to this store if you need to buy essential pet products or need any pet care recommendations. Its a nice place to visit and see friendly pets and helpful staff.
L	L M. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's 12:09, the store is supposed to be open, but instead the owner has some sort of personal shopping experience inside while I and another random guy are standing outside the gates waiting to go in. She would not give us an ETA on when others were allowed in. Also one of the only stores left selling puppy mill puppies (source: I have worked at four different let chains in the city, just not this one and they are the only ones left selling inhumanely raised animals). Do not go during their business hours, it's a chance roll. Edited to say: any pet store I have worked at told us their puppies were not from mills, yet they were and many of the puppies died on us in under a week. Maybe you truly think the puppies come from a loving house. Then why would a breeder need you to sell them? Surely they could do it on their own. I also have a cat from this location who was incorrectly weaned and had severe brain trauma / special needs because of her improper upbringing here.

I have learned about how to combat potential allergies by using Allerpet and by other means. It has not been an issue. The owner and staff are informative and friendly.
