Started in 1991 by Leo & Kelly McLauchlan, Platinum Productions now has a staff of over 25 professional & experienced DJ’s. It is our full time profession; our livelihood depends on maintaining our outstanding reputation & exceeding our customers’ expectations. Platinum Productions specializes in socials & weddings. We deliver a fun, honest and reliable service, so you can count on every detail to be taken care of. We offer free office consultations that allow you to sit down with a skilled & experienced staff member to discuss your music options. Together we have the opportunity to make your event a success, and we go above and beyond industry standards to make this happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DJ Paul did an awesome job! He has been the DJ for myself and 2 of my siblings.
We had our Wedding at Hecla this summer and we couldn't be happier with everything he did for us and going the extra mile! He setup games that got the tables laughing and socializing and was great with the crowd.
He was also organized and help out a lot with the evening including helping MC when my brother inlaw needed a break.
Thanks again Paul and Platinum! We all had a great time.

We are very shy people, and he made sure we were comfortable with each and every decision and was amazing to work with. We requested him specifically for our upcoming wedding. Kelly is very fast to respond, answers any questions and is overall great to work with as well! The recommendation came from our Wedding Planner, and I cannot recommend Platinum Productions enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Leo from Platinum Productions for our MC/DJ this July for our wedding at Fort Garry Hotel. We had come recommended by our planner when a family member bailed on us for MC duties. We were hesitant at first to use a non family member for MC services so we reached out to Platinum to see if we could meet with Leo before making any decisions. We met at a local restaurant lounge where we quickly realized that Leo was the real deal. He was extremely funny, outgoing and understood exactly what we were wanting. He offered ideas that we had not even thought about doing. After that meeting, we met with Leo 3 more times to go over details and he maintained constant contact with us by phone and email to ensure he was always in the loop of the planning. He worked hand and hand with our planner to organize, and set up the entire evenings timeline so that it flowed naturally and timely. The day of our wedding, we had a last minute situation with one of our bridesmaids that caused huge drama and necessary changes to the timeline. Leo handled it professionally and made a uncomfortable situation bearable with his quick witted humour. The entire reception ran smoothly and much better than we could have ever hoped for due to Leo’s attention to detail and classy demeanor. It was not the cheapest route to go for MC services but it was so worth the investment and we encourage anyone that is hesitating for a second to jump on DJ Leo’s services if he is available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly Recommended to me and was excited, COVID hit so we had to reschedule our wedding. Me and my Finance have been together 20 years and we were not going to get married if we couldn't celebrate it with our friends and families we were not going to do it till we can. We have waited 20 years we can wait one more to spend it with our loved ones. Our new date doesn't work with them and there booked on all over possible dates, every other vendor we had was willing to switch and the ones that couldn't refunded us except this one, they are keeping my deposit, BEWARE these people are in it for themselves. If there is any company not refunding because of this horrible Pandemic make sure you spread the word and no one gets burnt by these people. We all should be in it together! DON'T TRUST< DON'T RECCOMEND

Despite the challenges of wedding planning through a pandemic, Kelly was very responsive and patient with our every changing plans. Could not say enough good things about our DJ Karl! He was so professional and personable! He made an effort to play music we requested, even if it wasn't the typical wedding music. He chatted with many of our guests to get an idea of music the crowd wanted, which was amazing as our dance floor was full all night! We opted for the full bistro light package and were very pleased with how they looked. We received many compliments from our guests on the lighting, it was beautiful! Overall I would recommend Kelly and the Platinum Production team to anyone looking for DJ services and light!

The team was so kind and accommodating and we were very happy with the music and the atmosphere created by mood lighting. We had a lot of guests ask us who was providing the music serves as the dance floor was packed all night.

Could not provide services for me with postponed date chosen as they were fully booked up after stating I could book within 2 years of original date.
Asked for deposit back as they could not provide services on date needed, did not respond to emails or phone calls. Basically took my money and ghosted.

He was so polite, professional and so friendly to our guests. He played exactly the kind of music we requested and he had our guests dancing all night long! No problems and no stress and so much fun. DJ Paul is exactly what you want on your wedding day!
