Plamondon Whitesands Resort - Plamondon

Staff was super nice and they were continually dumping garbage cans and keeping the bathrooms spotless! I felt safe letting the kids go to both parks by themselves as traffic was kept to 10km/hr. My family stayed for 9 days and 8 nights. Never had one problem with noise or other campers. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

My family and friends will never forget this place. We are shocked when the staff with police went to our 3 loops and asked us to pack our things or else, we will be charged for trespassing. They called us ignorant for not following the rules. We don't know that there shouldn't be noise in the campground. We only have tents and we have lots of kids, that's why. We have music and they asked us to put down the music and we did. It's not too loud but we still turn down the music and they did not tell us to turn it off. Until the lady with police assistant did not even explained to us and said we have to pack our things. They also said that one of our truck over limit the speed for 20kph and it should be 10. We apologized and said that the place is new and didn't know any of it because the owner of the truck is just a visitor of ours and just arrived late to the site. We are very shocked because the way the lady talk to us was very rude and the police officer told us that we are ignorant. I begged for a chance to stay because we have more than 10 kids for the 3 loops that we paid. And they don't have any consideration. I said we still have to drive 4 hrs away from our house and we have kids but they did not consider it. I know there are rules but we apologize for it, but they should give us a chance to stay and consider that we have kids. We can stop the not so loud music and the rest it okay until morning. 11midnight they throw us out and charging us for trespassing though we pay more than $150 for three loops. Consideration is okay sometimes and can talk in proper way, but her rudeness says it all. They should have talked to us in a nice way and we will understand. If you guys are looking for fun in camping and relaxation, don't try to book here. Will never, ever go to this place again. Rudeness and racism, that's what they are.

A fantastic family campground. The sites are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Some of the sites do hold a bit of water after a rainfall and can be a bit muddy but all in all a great campground. The on site store has some of the best variety of goods I have ever seen in a campground and they have over 20 flavours of soft serve ice cream.

This is our favourite campground. It has everything you need. Nice private full hook-up sites. A playground for kids. It's right on the lake. The bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are some of the cleanest and well kept I've seen in a campground. The little store has a great selection and they sell firewood too.

Former provincial Campground turned private. No boat launch on site, closet is a few km away. This may be a deal breaker for many, and why I give less than 5 stars. Beach is good depending on water levels. Excellent for families and kids as they are on top of late night noise and traffic in the park. Sometimes can feel a bit overbearing but ultimately makes the whole camp experience better for everyone. There's a small store with ice cream, staples, candy and camping and fishing stuff. I like this place despite the few issues I have with it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to camp out in the north country.

Loved it all. Cabin on the beach, staff is very friendly, happy and accommodating. Clean, well kept cabin with everything you need for your stay. Fair prices at Grandma's store.
