Stayed here a few nights. Nice camp ground but it was so damp at night and in the morning since it was close to the lake. Since the tree's covered most of our sunlight, we felt damp for the days we were there. It wasn't that pleasant. That being said, I'd stay again. The facilities were really nice and the campgrounds were beautiful. Clean bathrooms and showers. It was pretty busy when we went and there were some larger groups. I might consider going in the fall to miss the crowds.

Stayed here a couple nights, sites are very nice and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They have canoes to rent and some very pretty hiking trails but they are a bit short and we were able to do them all in half a day. So if you're mostly interested in hiking you'll probably be going for day trips to places nearby.

No cell service, which I suspected but also thought would be more noted if it was the case. Used the payphone to check in with my family which I suspect hasn’t been cleaned in a long time based on the bugs and spider webs. Arrived around 8:45 to a closed office, even though the sign right on the door said open until 10. I had booked/paid online so just went in. Since I couldn’t buy firewood and didn’t want to be fined for collecting my own, no fire for me. Site was mostly clean (non-electric woodlilly) but can’t fault the park too much for other campers being jerks and leaving bits of garbage. Trekked to the flush toilets so can’t comment on the vault toilets. Comfort station was very clean. Water needs to be boiled. A good halfway point for my travel route. Will stay again.

Quite a nice Provincial Park, a bit west of White River. Nice selection of camping spots, a boat launch and a nice sandy beach.

Huge sites, pretty private, close off the highway for a quick stay like ours. Heard the train horn just after 8am on a Sunday which was no biggie for us as we were up. Other than that it is very quiet here. Wish we could have had full hook ups but this is to be expected at a provincial park. Big play ground and a decent beach. Boil water advisory. Current fire ban on.

Brought my son for one night of camping. Site was littered with the last campers empty bottles and food. Picked a beach lot ...small beach had broken glass, empty beer cans as well as an empty Hydrochloric acid container in a baby carrier sitting there. There was also the previous campers make shift fire pit on the beach. We set up camp and my son waded into the water by our beach. When he came out he had 6 small leaches on his feet ... not a swimming lake. We collected small small sticks off the beach and made a small fire in the previous campers pit. Within a half an hour the ranger came and wrote me up $180.00 ticket for an unsanctioned fire. No warning, no discussion. It was next to a lake where a previous fire had been made ... I didn't really think it was an issue. I could have put it out with a cup of water. I was calm and non-confrontational yet this ranger treated me like I was a criminal. I pointed out the Acid container in the baby carrier and he simply removed it. Pictures will be on Trip Advisor. What a disgrace for a provincial park. Oh and no cell service, no toilet paper, no Ice, no pop machine.

Great campground. Well maintained, hidden gem. There is several trains that go through, as train time is anytime, not ideal. Hiking trails are well marked. Beach is sandy, great for kids. kayaks, paddleboat and canoes are all available for rental. Saw 1 bear, and a few chipmunks and squirrels. Some sites are located with direct access to private beach area. Campsites are private with lots of trees. Bathrooms / showers are closed daily from 10am to 12 noon, slight inconvenience. Soap and running water. Outhouses are fully stocked with toilet paper, running water, and soap.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this Provincial Park! The park itself has many nights sites and the showers were clean and hot. The only unfortunate thing is that currently you need to bring your own water or boil the water before cooking or drinking but they say they are working on that. The hiking trails are a must do if you are able. I recommend driving or biking to the trail heads. Especially the Clearwater Lake Trail as it is the furthest away but 100% worth going. We had the entire lake to ourselves and it is a nice sandy bottom clear lake with a Canoe/Paddles at the lake (bring your own life jackets). We saw a bald eagle and an owl. We did all 3 hikes (excluding the fitness trail) in one day. The staff is super friendly. I was disappointed they don’t have any provincial park stickers available for the rest of the year but the park is great. Thanks for having us.
