Best Campground in Canada

S	Susan Young on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Does it get much better than this? I don't think so. A quiet and clean municipal campground with a staff person on duty until 8:00 pm. It was relatively close to spots in town for supplies or eating out, and a bike or a healthy walk would have made that possible without needing to move the vehicle since the campground was so close. Excellent rate for full hook-ups and a campground of this calibre.
R	Randy Beavis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Site 11 is the primo site. Camp sites available by pre-booking only. Wonderful 2 km nature walk around the lake. Very helpful park staff keep the place immaculate and quickly deliver a good sized bunch of wood for $10. We will come back!

G	Gord Thorne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in July 2017. We enjoyed our stay here, however, I think the price is a little high for the quality of the park. Located beside Penn Lake makes for a beautiful setting and our spot backed close to the lake which was an easy walk on a path through the trees. The park has a couple of pull-thru spots at the entrance, they seem a little exposed to the road. Plenty of tent camping available also in a nice section of the park further in. Electrical and water services were a little distance from the back corner of the motorhome, was able to make them reach without extensions luckily. Sewer was conveniently located. All worked reliably. Easy bike ride into town and there are some hiking trails that surround the lake. ATV's are popular in the area, however, none were seen in the park. Some trails go by the park so there is a bit of background noise. There is a nice park area near the campground, and a short walk around the lake gets you to a playground and volleyball net. Would stay here again.
M	Mary Cook on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So pretty and quiet. Really cool trail around lake which was easy and safe for walking dog. Close to Pebble Beach which is beautiful. Full RV hookup for $44.50 Canadian dollars.

The campground is lovely, with a beautiful walking trail and a nice lake and playground as well. The sites are spacious, yet treed so you have some privacy. The staff was very helpful whenever we talked to them. However, on the way to the campground from the forest is the town dump. You don't smell it at the campground, but it definitely brings the bears in. We had a small black bear come right to our site. We went around to give the other campers a heads up and most said that it happens there all the time. They do have signs at the campground saying it's a bear area. Lovely campground, just be aware.

Also got well maintained grass not gravel which enhanced our night sleep. Nicely separated campsite has more privacy. Definitely visiting again!
