About Pita Pit
When Pita Pit began back in 1995, Braveheart was Best Picture, Seinfeld was all the rage, the Worldwide Web was just taking off and the DVD was new—and a major innovation.
So was the idea that drove Nelson Lang and John Sotiriadis to open their first Pita Pit in Kingston, Ontario.
Today’s trend toward healthier eating was still a long way off, but Nelson and John were ahead of the curve. They were convinced the time was right to offer a fresh, healthy alternative to traditional high-fat, high-carb, high-calorie fast foods. Their Lebanese-style pita sandwiches packed with fresh veggies, grilled meats and zesty sauces were an instant hit with the college and university crowd, especially since the store stayed open late—well into the wee hours of the morning, making it perfect for students taking a break from studying or coming home after a night of partying.
Within two years, franchise stores had begun opening right across Canada. Two years later, they were opening in the USA where the concept took off immediately with consumers of all ages.
Today, there are more than 650 Pita Pit stores in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Clearly, Pita Pit’s “fresh thinking, healthy eating” motto is an idea whose time has come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ahhhh!!! Finally some variety of healthy options in St. Paul! I love this location because it puts something back into that strip mall and we should be using the structures we have or we will have a dying downtown. I love the menu, there was some thing for everyone... AND if you are vegan they even have a separator on their grill so no meat products will end up in your meal. Oh, AND three different vegetarian options?!?! That is two more than most! I was completely impressed. I hope they extend their hours because this could be a GREAT breakfast option on the way to work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im not a huge fan of subs or pitas but my friend wanted to eat here so we did. I had the chicken ceasar pita and it was really good. I would recommend checking it out. Staff were friendly and professional. The place was very clean and there was plenty of room to sit and enjoy. I would go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love pita pit, friendly, great food the way I want it and generous portions. This is a 5 star place almost every time however being out of hummus, avocado and no longer carrying Baba Gannouj was a disappointment for sure...
In any case still love pita pit!!! Please bring back the BABA!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This location is really inconsistent. The last few times I've been in they were out of most of the things I wanted to order. Anytime they have more than a couple customers it's a really long wait. In the end the food is good, but I had almost a 30 minute wait for it.
