L	Lindsay Campbell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family Dr in this clinic is fine, the admin staff however make the entire clinic frustrating (to put it politely). Every time I call I’m holding for 20+ mins as other reviewers have commented. The staff on the phone are often dismissive and rude, and today after missing a phone call appointment (which came 2 hours after the time I booked) I was concerned I had missed my chance to speak to my dr about an urgent matter. I called back twice later in the day to see if by chance she was free and despite me asking the clerk directly “I’m pretty sure after the 2nd call, they don’t call again?” she again dismissed me and told me I was “still on the list” to be called today. She said I should speak to the Dr about her tardiness when she eventually calls. Needless to say I still haven’t spoken to my Dr. I’ve looked on the website for ways to bring this event (and others I’ve had in the past) to someone’s attention and haven’t had any luck.
N	Nikki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Elspeth Verkley has been my doctor for 13 years, and I will not see anyone else. She is professional, kind, compassionate, and the most empathetic person I've ever met. She always makes herself available, takes the time to listen to my concerns, and I've never once felt rushed in any of the offices I've seen her in. My whole family sees her, and we recommend her to everyone we know. Dr. Verkley has a way of making you feel comfortable, even in the most unbearable situations. She has guided me and been by my side through some devastating times, and I would not be here if it weren't for her.

She's thorough and takes the time to help with understanding details of a condition and discussing options. I don't understand the negative reviews as she is the model of a caring, compassionate doctor. We live in the west side of the city, and make the trip to her office in Walden, a 20 minute drive thanks to the ring road; before that it used to be 35-40 minutes. The distance doesn't matter to us because she is such a fabulous doctor! Thank you Dr Verkeley!!

The staff have always been very helpful with getting appointments scheduled and supporting me in getting other appointments booked or access to other resources. Dr. Herd has been such a positive family doctor to have; she has always been open to questions and takes the time to discuss options. I've always felt very empowered to ask questions and she has always treated me with respect and empathy. I am very grateful for the support I've received from both her and the staff!

Have to drive there just to book an appointment. My family doctor is good but you have to be prepare to wait at LEAST 40 min. Terrible!!!! Why do I have to bother to be on time. Even if I’m the first appointment on the day she runs late. I find this extremely disrespectful and frustrating. Today, I’m here already waiting for an hour like I have nothing else to do.

She was extremely understanding, and apologized. Though I still think some of the admin staff is very lacking and rude at least the Doctors care about the patients. And really that’s what’s important :) Original review Clinic has terrible customer service! Some of the receptionists clearly do not care at all how they treat or speak to patients. This clinic used to be so wonderful. It’s sad that there is such lack of care.

However the wait times on the phone just to get an appointment are getting ridiculous. Today I had to hold for 28 minutes. The last several times I’ve called it’s been the same thing. It doesn’t matter what time of the day I call either. I’ve tried everywhere from first thing in the morning to around an hour before they close and it always between 20 minutes to 30 minutes on hold. I’ve never had an experience like this until my family doctor moved here and therefore we had to move clinics. Honestly I don’t even wait this long to talk to an agent at Telus. I really hope they can fix this because otherwise it would be a great clinic.
S	Scott Wizniak on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will echo other comments on here. The doctors seem great but you better not have any pressing obligations when you want to book an appointment. Average time to speak to somebody is 20+ minutes. They say they are looking into making improvements but haven’t seen any sign of anything improving. In all my life I I have never seen such wait times to just book an appointment. Maybe it’s their way of trying to convince you that you really don’t need to see a doctor.
