This is my Mom's neurologist. She has been in the hospital and in respite care for over a month now and they can't help her much further (adjustung meds, etc) until they have heard from him. Several care team members, nurses, homecare and doctors have left messages at his office to have the doctor return their call for discussions on my mothers delicate situation. He has not returned a single call yet and its been over a month!! Shame on this office! I have left a peraonal message myself and I intend on taking this matter further if I have no reply. Shame!!

Awesome doctor. I have been to him 2 times now and both times he exceeded my expectations. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer and listen to all your concerns. He is kind and understanding and it is appreciated. The office is new and very nice and his front staff are pleasant.

We haven't actually seen each other yet, Doctor and I, but the receptionist is extremely rude and unprofessional. Asking for an appointment reschedule or a card is faced with rude, belittling comments. I surely hope the doctor is aware of who is respesenting his practice with the public.

Dr. V. Pillay is one of the best neurologists in Canada, hands down. We're very lucky to have him within the city of Regina, and I'm grateful to be a patient of his. His bedside manner is amazing; he's kind, understanding, and very respectful. Above all, he's empathetic. It's not always the best circumstances to see a neurologist, but when you see Dr. Pillay you feel a lot better about your situation. Dr. Pillay is always a book of knowledge, but most importantly, always seems up to date with new treatments, studies, and trials. While I try to make myself knowledgeable to my own chronic illness, I feel encouraged in his educational abilities. His assistant Angie is very professional, and thorough. If I have an issue I know I can call her and she'll have answers for me shortly. I trust both of these professionals, and hold them in the highest regard. The new office is very nice as well! The parking is a huge improvement, and it's nice to be somewhere that doesn't feel like a cold, hospital.

After 3 years of negative google reviews, the receptionist needs to go. Negativity in healthcare should never be permitted. The cost to replace a receptionist is cheaper than the negative experience she causes 5 days a week. Dr. Pillay is an incredible doctor and provides an amazing healthcare experience if you remove the receptionist. Need I say 1 more time. The receptionist is the root cause to a terrible experience at this clinic.

My experience here started off with my MRI never being scheduled. After over two months of waiting to get in for my MRI I called the hospital to see if they ever got the referral for it and nope. Was never sent over. So I finally got the MRI, great! And now I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting again to hear back from his office so we can go over the results. So I call and the incredibly rude receptionist informs me that he's already gone over my results. And tells me that's why I haven't heard from him. PARDON ME?! I've been sitting here like a chump worrying about this scan I feel like the very least you can do is pick up the phone and tell me it all looks good.

Beyond a joke for service. I've dealt with "undiagnosable" seizures for over 2 years now without any sort of advancement. I've had my drivers license pulled because of them and was unable to work because of them prior. I've had them under control for the over 6 months and am able to return to work but I'm in need of a clearance letter for both SGI and my family doctor but Pillay nor the receptionist will return my calls. I've tried for over two weeks and I only ever get the answering machine. Prior to these phone calls I've always had problems with the receptionist. She's rude and uncaring. She rushes you off the phone without allowing you to ask any questions that might be needed; and it seems she only answers the phone on her terms.

I have seen 2 neurologist in Regina for 12 years for severe migraines. My previous neurologist yelled a me numerous times even in front of my young children who I had to bring with me. The positiveness that came out of the situation is when he passed me on to Dr Pillay because he didn’t do migraine injections and they worked in the same office at the time. Dr Pillay has changed my life since I began seeing him. Prior to seeing him I suffered from severe migraines that were debilitating to a young mother with 3 young children. Dr Pillay really cares about you the patient as he looks at all aspects of your health because everything affects everything. He has not only stabilized my migraines but assisted in me being seen by a thyroid specialist when my own GP wouldn’t even though for over 3 years I had constant change. Dr Pillay also has the best bedside manners, he genuinely cares. Actually all South Africans have one of the best manners and I have seen quite a few. So hold on to them if you get one as they are different from the rest.
