About Asiniwasis Rachel Dr
Trisha Campbell is a First Nations woman of Cree ancestry. She grew up in Iqaluit, NU and has resided in Regina, SK since July 2011. She has obtained two undergraduate degrees from the University of Regina – a BSc in Biology (2017) and a BSc in Psychology (2018).
She is a Community Research Assistant and Peer Coordinator with Wellness Wheel Medical Outreach Clinic since March 2019, and a Research Facilitator part-time at Saskatchewan Health Authority, supporting Dr. Rachel Netahe Asiniwasis since March 2021. She recently returned to post-secondary studies part-time to pursue a Master of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan. She values Indigenous representation in healthcare systems and policymaking, and community-led research addressing priorities that are important and relevant to Indigenous peoples.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Asiniwasis has treated me for a couple different skin problems over the years. She is wonderfully friendly while being extremely professional. It is very clear that she truly cares about her patients. Now with Covid-19 and having to use hand sanitizer, my skin is suffering once again. I called her office to see if I could go and see her. Her receptionist kindly asked if I would mind remote treatment and I was happy to oblige. I sent their office some photos and Dr. Asiniwasis called me the following week as her receptionist said she would. Here is the kicker though. When she called me, she asked if it was a good time for me to speak to her about my concerns. In my mind, this is next level courtesy & respect from an extremely busy medical professional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Asiniwasis is a brilliant physician, teacher and human! Each visit she took the time to listen, consult and diagnose while teaching us and a different med student each time. She is incredibly considerate of her patients, as well as the community, even raising money for supplies at her remote clinics by doing hydrofacials (not because she has to, but chooses to).
