Joy is a kind, patient and loving teacher, and has helped to nurture our daughter’s love of music. She takes note of Uma’s interests and incorporates them into the lessons, which makes them even more enjoyable. We feel fortunate to have found such a great teacher in Joy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Joy instills a confidence and love of music among kids regardless of their piano levels. She discovers each child's strength and amplifies that strength so they are interested in continuing playing the piano. Her attention to details and expressions set models for children to follow.
We cannot imagine having a different piano teacher. Joy somehow made my kids want to play the piano, and barely complain about the daily practice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have had the pleasure of having Joy teach piano to both our children. Most recently, she has taught our son (11 years old). Joy has introduced our son to a variety of music styles while she teaches technique through a very kind and nurturing approach. She was able to continue to teach, motivate and inspire our son through virtual lessons during the COVID pandemic. I would not hesitate to recommend Joy as an excellent, kind and caring piano teacher.

All three of our (very different) kids have piano with Joy and she is wonderful at tailoring the lesson style to build on their strengths and interests. We couldn't be happier with Joy's approach to music and the quality of the lessons.
