★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those of you who know me well this will not come as a surprise as I've been looking for a dog for years... Literally. I've found myself at the right time in my life with the right partner to pull the trigger. Once Sarah and I purchased our house over a year ago we started the puppy search. Our breeds were exclusively made up of larger dogs as per our preferences.
We found a few breeders for Dobermans, Rottweilers, Labradors and German Sheppard's but we felt like we wanted to have a breeder close to us instead of hours or days away. It all came down to a breeder in Russell for Labradors and one in Curren for German Sheppard's.
Julie got back to us within minutes of us reaching out for information and with a quick visit (following COVID protocols) we knew that she was the one who would ultimately hand over our pup.
It all came down to her passion and support after the fact. Knowing we have someone with extensive knowledge, connections and experience a phone call away made our decision evident. Heyda will have play dates with her brothers and sisters from time to time in the future.
The hardest part of the process was the final wait of 4 months before getting her. Man it was long... but definately worth it!
If you're looking... Look no further! Just remember that they vet all potential adoption parents so if you're looking for just a large scary dog look elsewhere.

We were invited and welcomed into Julie and Richard's home to spend time with the litter of pups before choosing our own. We would highly recommend Pferdeland kennels to anyone looking for a quality experience in choosing a puppy.

What I really like about them is that they are always open, regarding the time, even 3am, if you have any concerns with your new puppy, she will be there to answer your questions. If you are looking for a German Shepherd, I highly recommend Pferdeland Kennel. You won't be disappointed ?

So far it has been a great experience from the podcast video conferences to prepare families to receive their puppy to the friendly advice and tips, on site visits and rehoming day.

Julie has been incredible through the entire process, sharing a wealth of knowledge and information on all things Shephard and puppy, including care, feeding, socialization and training. She has provided so many resources and access to information to ensure our puppy grows into a confident and happy companion.
It has been amazing seeing our little guy grow from day one via the live videos Julie posted daily. He is home with us now and we couldn’t love him more. He is so intelligent, fun, and loving.

They are very passionate German Shepherd Dog breeders and from our first conversation, you can tell just how much dedication and love they have for the breed. The weekly group video calls leading up to "take home day" to teach behaviour fundamentals and answer questions, was invaluable. Highly recommended.
