Easily the worst campground I've ever stayed in. While the view of the lake is nice, there is simply no privacy, nor any shade or tree cover in every single site. We got unlucky and stayed right on the entrance corner near the Woodlot. The wind was so strong, as it always is in sask, that our tent took a pounding and the tent poles nearly snapped. Bad area to even put a campground. Even in a fifth wheel or tow along you'd be moving and a shakin' all night long. Do not recommend as everyone's supper plate blew out of their hands. Not to mention all the fridge ticks everywhere. If anyone wants a real camping experience and not a city slicker one, I recommend checking out the north of the province. All in all will not be back, no one wants to pay 40 $ a night for a dustbowl.

Pretty disappointed in this campground as the pictures advertised trees around the site, but when we arrived we were basically on top of a hill with nothing but field for miles and two almost dead tiny trees close to us. We were also told our tent couldn’t be on the grass area of our site, only the gravel, which left us with a very small area for two tents. It was incredibly windy in this area and the lack of trees or any covering didn’t help, our tent barely survived the night and we had the worst sleep of our lives. I think this campground would only be suitable for people with campers who just need a place to sleep while they use the lake for boating during the day, but I can’t imagine a worse site for tenting. We only stayed for one night instead of the two that we paid for because of how awful the conditions on the site were.

A definite much needed improvement to the camping facilities at this woefully under developed park. The spaces are large and many have great views of the valley. Except aling the west edge of the campground the trees are small and in many cases dying or dead. Some of the trees will survive and grow providing much needed shade. The bathrooms are very good with flush toilets and working cold water sinks. The shower building is large but despite its young age is deteriorating. For two years in a row the same shower door on the mens side cannot be locked. The trees that are dying could easily have been kept alive with water bags. Considering the oversight of not only the government parks department but also the constant visits from Conservatism Officers working for Sk Environment and Resource management you would think they would have at least one person in charge of keeping trees alive.
