Unfortunately they don't take returns for dog treats (Pet Valu does, even if they have been opened). The manager laid it on thick, really pushing specific treats that she assured me even picky dogs like mine would love (he didn't). Nothing was mentioned about the return policy, which of course I should have also asked about. So make sure you ask about it before you buy.

Not too impressed with the new store. The guy in the fish department was helpful, but, grabbed a scrub brush off the shelf, price said 9.97, after looking at my receipt it was 13.17. All the gift bags are gone, so they gave me a scratch ticket for some money off my bill, it was 5 dollars, except the girl at the til Brady didn't take the 5 dollars off my bill?? Thanks petland, feel like I wasted my money there, should just walk around and look at stuff like most ppl. Oh, then grab a free gift bag without purchasing!

Would not Recommend. Unprofessional. No Customer Service Skills. Sunday, August 12, 2021 I came into the store to make a return. When I approached the counter, the cashier was at the register on a call, presumably from a customer. Once the phone call was done she dashed to the back, without acknowledging me. After she had returned I told her I had a return. She said that a manager would have to do the return. She went over to the other register to help a customer. As she did that I asked if she had called for the manager and she just replied to me β€œshe will be back soon” after she took another customer I went to go browse. On my way there I saw the manager and flagged her down for the return. She said no one had called for her and I said β€œthat’s why I’m down here”. After returning back to the register to do the return the manager mentioned that I had bought it from another store, I asked if that was an issue, and she said β€œno”. The manager also asked me why I bought so many, at this point I become frustrated at the situation and I said β€œBecause I can”. These are questions that are not necessary for the return. I said that I thought my dog would like it as she was on a similar brand, but she didn’t like the food. At this time, I asked if they had a different type of food, the manager then bolted to the back and checked. The manager was yelling at me from across the store that they didn’t have that specific one. Very unprofessional, come up to me to talk, you don’t need to shout from across the room. Once she was back at the register she processed my return. She asked to see my debit card, which I thought was weird, she said it has to match the receipt. Which it did not. I told her it was my only debit card. She said it won’t be processed correctly if it’s a different card. After a few seconds of staring we realized that it was because it was processed through Apple Pay. After all was said and done, I walked out of the store, the cashier and manager didn’t say anything to me as I walked away. If the manager and cashier would have apologized they may have been able to salvage the experience, but I won’t be going back there. Zero Customer Service Skills! I’d rather go to a place that is Pet-Smart and People-Smart.

Great selection, prices are decent if you buy the same pet food you can earn a free bag. What's not to like.

The guy in the reptile department is nice, but I feel extremely ripped off. I asked for 5 small adult mice and was charged 18$ for them. I weighed them at home and not one of them was over 9g! The smallest one weighing at 5g which is not even close to being an β€œadult” mouse. I use these to feed my snake and now I feel ripped off. As well in the past he’s messed up and gave me 4 instead of 5 when I asked and he didn’t really seem to know what I was even asking about the first time I came in.

The customer service is very hit and miss and the prices are not worth it. One of the staff suggested I come back another day because she was busy I already had over $100 worth of supplies in my hands and I just wanted to purchase some dwarf shrimp. She forgot to write the price on the bag and would not respond to her coworker calling her. Then was very sassy to her coworker as she yelled across the store. There is a Petsmart on Empress with great customer service and better prices on aquarium plants and most equipment.

I was helped by 3 wonderful and knowledgeable ladies, whose expertise made my pet adoption go smoothly. I had a ton of questions and they were very patient with me. Excellent service. They Also have the best selection in bird supplies I've come across thus far.
