Buying my first home was certainly a daunting experience and just the thought of getting started was particularly overwhelming; but I had the pleasure of working with Patrick to purchase my first home. He made the process as simple as it could be and helped me break down each step along the way. I thought the process was going to be slow (especially during Covid) but from beginning to end it was a few short weeks of finding the right home, negotiating an excellent price, and closing in record time! He was incredibly responsive (even when I was looking at potential listings late at night) and always had a fast reaction in going to see those listings in this very competitive market. Clearly, Patrick had done a substantial amount of research in helping me narrow what I was looking for and never placed any pressure on me throughout the buying process. Philip Kwan was the best kind of luck my family could have asked for. We decided to sell our house due to mum’s poor health but because our mortgage renewal was coming up it needed to be done quickly. We were really nervous about selling at a loss. From the first consultation Philip managed to calm all our nerves and reassure us of a very positive outcome. Putting action to his words, he sold our house at 118% over the asking price. We were so comfortable with him - both with his pleasant nature, transparency with all aspects of the selling process and his availability (always answered all our calls and messages immediately) - we also bought both my parents and my condo with his assistance. Philip along with my brother were able to find the perfect condo in the perfect location for our parents fairly quickly. I, however, struggled over a few long weekends. This was my first time buying a property for myself. I have quite a few phobias, OCDs and a strict budget that made finding something that fit difficult. With the closing date looming on our current house, the pressure was mounting. But, Philip was my calm centre. He listened to exactly what I was looking for and knew what I needed, so was willing to step in to advise if he thought I was compromising too much out of a fear that I wouldn’t find anything in time. He saved me from making a few disastrous decisions. It payed off. I will be moving into a home that will be my very own and the first of my choosing at the start of spring and it is all owed to Philip. I am certain with anyone else I would have ended up in a mess, after a few mental breakdowns. I would definitely have ended up settling. Instead, I managed to buy the home I intend to set down roots in without having a single panic attack. He’s a miracle worker. I recommend Philip to everyone, but especially to those who don’t always feel heard, who need someone who will be transparent with them, patient and kind.
