R	Ryan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nobody ever expects that they will have an accident, and then one day out of nowhere you find yourself in that very position. It is good to know that there are reliable insurance companies out there that will go the extra mile (kilometer) to ensure that you are well taken care of. Beyond the exceptionally affordable prices The Personal offers I can attest that their claims department is second to none. Making a claim was incredibly easy and they had my car dealt with in a timely fashion. When I received my car back there was a safety issue with the repairs and The Personal went above and beyond to provide me with a rental car just so I can safely travel to see my family for the holidays. Thank you very much for being there for me and making me feel like an extremely valued customer!

They do not answer the phone or respond to emails. Don't make my mistake. Look elsewhere.
Y	Yvan Huppé on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was insured with them for years, at first it was good, and then I noticed my latest renewal was over $200 more per year. I investigated and noticed they had been raising my rates $200 per year for the last couple of years (I hadn't noticed). I called and inquired why, I was told very clearly it was because of the no fault accident where I was rear ended at a stop light, and they were trying to recoup some of the cost. I told them they were not allowed to do this, and he said they've always done it. I contacted the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (auto insurance) and she confirmed they should not be doing this. When I called Personal back they told me the previous person was wrong and they blamed my aging car (2015 lease) for the increase in rates, I asked to speak with underwriting department and the agent said that I could not, he asked why and I said I wanted an explanation in writing, they said they would not provide it. I then asked for the number to their legal department, he got angry and kept asking why? Why? I got frustrated and hung up, enough of the verbal abuse and rudeness. I easily found an insurance policy with another agency for $60 less per month. I would recommend you do a quick search online for free quotes, and go with any of them, as anything would be better than "Personal", I wish I could give a 0 rating.

The friendly, understanding, and sympathetic staff, like Chan and Fasiha with me yesterday as I explained that I was moving and changing my Auto and Property insurance, was a very professional, helpful, informative and thorough conversation. If you are looking for a very good insurance company who sincerely cares for their clients and their personal needs, then I encourage you check out the Personal first and you may never go anywhere else with their exceptional client service and competitive rates.

I initiated repairs only to be told that they will now not honour the claim! Do yourself a favour and do not give this company your business.

It is costing me over $400 to cancel my insurance policy, as they would not reduce the price of my policy. How are they able to charge a hundred dollars more a month than other companies???). RIDICULOUS
