β β β β β I visited with my friends yesterday to do βThe Elevatorβ. Iβve done two other rooms at this perplexity and several others elsewhere and I have to say I prefer perplexity over other escape room places thus far. The staff are always super kind and helpful, and the rooms are always so much fun. This one in particular was really thought out and I loved that it wasnβt too complex but was hard enough that it posed a challenge. I plan to visit again to do the other rooms to get this location off my checklist, then onto the Mississauga one! Thanks for a fun time :)

β β β β β Super Fun place. It was $28 per person. We did the Criminal Binds room and it was a great mix of fun and challenge. I loved the way it was setup and the staff was super friendly. Iβll definitely go back to a try another challenge.

β β β β β We did The Last Laugh and it was so much fun! The
puzzles were very creative and the story is original
and engaging. Staff is friendly and helpful with hints
and explaining the room afterwards. Although we
weren't able to finish in time, we made so many
hilarious memories. Definitely will try another room
again!

β β β β β Cool place with really nice staff and lots of good rooms. A couple of points to note are that the Elevator, while fun, is quite simplistic in terms of challenge and technology, especially compared to many other places. You expect an elevator to have more, tech. Secondly, we were able to hear participants quite easily in another room next door which broke any degree of immersion. No doubt hard to block all sound in a place like that. Overall had fun, may try another room in the future.

β β β β β Great immersive environmentβ if you do a scary themed one they do not disappoint with the props and overall atmosphere. Most escape room are multi-room and they do great with utilizing the space that they have. Thereβs two separate games that are divided by (in some cases) a curtain and you can hear other groups but overall not bad. Rely on more lock boxes rather than tech but there is still bits of tech incorporated.
Staff are great!β friendly, get into character and great story telling.

β β β β β Atmosphere was nice, employees were pleasant and helpful. Did one of the hardest difficulty rooms - "the shortcut" with a pass rate of 11%. The room seemed cheaply put together but I don't know whether escape rooms can get any more luxurious so I can't complain much.
Our group failed the room. I may come off as a sore loser but I had a lot of disagreements with the logic of how some clues were found and problems were to be solved. There were a few things that seemed like 'this is the right way to do it' which ended up being dead ends or distractions. A good escape room should be streamlined enough so that you don't chase dead ends and waste precious time. Also, you are allowed to ask for 3 clues and I'm sure that without those 3 clues it's nearly impossible to finish the room.
When we failed and were explained how to do the room successfully, there were many times where we were like "yeah there's no way anyone could have figured this out" and we weren't a dumb group at all...
I suppose escape rooms are less of a test of wits, logic, and skill and more of a quirky guessing game to do with some friends. I don't think it was worth $28. Should've been just $20.

β β β β β Iβve been here a couple of times a few years ago and always had a great time. Recently, my teenager celebrated her birthday here with her friends. They did The Last Laugh room loved it! They didnβt escape but had a memorable time playing the game. They all said they want to come back and try the other rooms. They liked the games lounge while they waited before going into the escape room. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommend, will definitely return!
