Can always find something or walk out with spending too much (again) ?

Place is fantastic, there was lots of room for my moms wheelchair in the store. We can't get her chair up the badly damaged ramp in front of the store. You have to use the ramp further away.

They have a really odd system for ordering. I ordered some items online, got them VERY fast, but unfortunately did not fit. For plus size clothing it is always hit or miss. It's a very inside the box approach to plus size clothes, they assume someone with a large waist, has large legs, vice versa. But I always get my bras, and underwear at this location, one thing that fits very well regardless of body type. The clothing I returned, I was offered a refund, and they could order it for me from the store right then and there and delivered to my house. PERFECT! The associate was new, so I was very patient, went with the flow, as she had to refund, resell, refund, a couple of times due to doing it wrong in the system. As she repeated my address back to me, I added in my apartment number and I guess she didn't hear me. When I got the receipts back I had noticed the delivery address did not include my apartment number. Concerned that I wouldn't get it delivered properly I waited inline again and she had noticed and asked if something was wrong as she was cashing out another customer which to I replied what was wrong but I would wait for her to finish up. Then another associate had came up to me and asked how they could help, I explained, and was told to call the customer service number on the back of the receipt and nothing they could do or change the address. Hmmm. Okay. Not my problem the staff didn't confirm the address but she was new so okay I will go and call. I sat in my car and there was no number on the back of the receipt, had to google it, on hold for a while, to be told they couldn't change anything on their end and go to the store that ordered it. I go back in, was told that was odd, and so she called someone, who told her to tell me to just wait and I would get a call to confirm my address from Canada Post, and it would take longer to get. At the end of the day it really comes down to the system not being ideal, so just be aware when ordering from the store that an address cannot be changed once something is ordered. Live and learn situation. The staff did what they could, and one even helped on her lunch break (which I told her not to, I would wait) but she insisted.

Lots of selection in the size I was looking for. Neat and clean store. Great customer service.

I returned some items purchased online. It was quick and easy. I was quite surprised.

Poor customer service if there is a problem. Disorganized and lacking competence. Some clothing is nice but the "cutesy" stuff that looks good on smaller sized women seem to be overrunning the "normal" lines. Their logistics in delivery (important in a pandemic!) needs improvement! I have patience with delays... less so with incompetence and poor communication.

Penningtons is such a positive environment. The ladies there seem to really work hard to help their customers find the best for them. On two occasions I have visits they’ve spent 1;1 time with me to help me find the right fit. And have words of encouragement and are very positive. I left with items that made me feel confident.
