They diagnosed the problem with my laptop within an hour, explained the issue clearly, suggested a fix that would get me back up and running at no extra cost. Perfect, thank you!

I had a deletion disaster with my laptop. PCGlare was able to undelete my disaster all for the minimum cost estimated. Very happy. Will use them again (hopefully not for the same mistake) and recommend this business to you.

Came here to drop off a package for FedEx but apparently they're no longer a FedEx Depot though... Should probably update that on Google maps Didn't want to tank their reviews, just wanted to spread awareness

We have lived in Kits for over 20 years and have walked past this shop many times, never venturing in, until my iPod wouldn't function. Quick fix, no messing about. A very interesting array of tech gear and old Macs etc - will make time to revisit soon!

These guys helped me out of a bad jam as quick as I came to visit. I even had them on the phone to help me troubleshoot afterward. I'll be back to PC Galore.

Incompetent or dishonest? I have walked by this shop for many years and admired what it seemed to offer. When my top of the line 27" iMac 2012 developed issues with its display I brought it to this store. I agreed to pay $112 for an assessment. Later that day, I received the news that the display screen was defective and the opinion was that it was not worth fixing. I was encouraged to just donate the computer to the shop. On consideration, I decided to return to pick the computer up, since I wished to perform a more recent backup and consider my options more fully. I advised the owner, Gregory Baker, of my plan. Imagine my dismay, when getting home I realized the computer no longer booted up properly. The computer immediately ran on full fan speed when turned on and every process moved at a snail's pace. On returning to the shop I was faced with denials. The owner insisted that the computer had been returned to me in the same condition as I had brought it in the first place. Although I was not comfortable being treated this dismissive manner, I stood my ground. Eventually, I was able to convince the Gregory and another technician to address my complaint properly. They discovered that in fact a temperature sensor had not been reconnected prior to returning the computer to me. It was confirmed that this would have caused the symptoms the computer was exhibiting. Altogether an extremely troubling experience! Sadly, this resonates with a review posted 5 months ago by Francesca.

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS TO DO ANY REPAIRS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED!!! My experience with PC galore was an absolute nightmare and I would literally recommend anything else over this dump. Throwing your laptop of the Burrard St bridge would be just as helpful as bringing it here except you would save hundreds of dollars. Both Larry and Greg offer terrible customer service and always put their own profits above the customer experience. To summarize my experience. I hired them to replace the lcd screen of my touch screen laptop. I was told the replacement screen was 350$ to order from Lenovo and paid without question. Upon receiving the laptop back my stylus pen no longer worked. They offered me some "self help" solutions over the phone before I finally insisted I would bring it back to the shop myself (not an easy journey for a busy university student living far away). When they took my laptop back to try and find a solution (basically just doing the stuff they told me to do) I found out from Larry that he had actually ordered a 200 dollar knock-off replacement screen from a Chinese company on Ebay. A company who, in bright red at the top of their website, advertises that the screens do not work with stylus. What a joke. I had already paid for the repair upfront and they had lied to me and purchased a knock off screen in an attempt to maximize their profits. They hid this information from me and would likely do it to any of you too. Nobody offered me any sort of real retribution and the best solution they were willing to offer was to put my old broken screen back in and refund my money, claiming "I would basically be back to how it was before." So now I sit here with a still broken laptop that has been taken apart and reassembled twice, and nothing to show for the countless hours of stress, wasted time, and waiting on hold. This business committed fraud and lied directly to my face. I would not trust them with any business whatsoever. As a response to what was written below. I have not changed any information on this review since originally posting it.

I have shopped here for all of my computer needs for over 20 years, sometimes commuting a great distance. I appreciate the value and help in having my specific computer needs met. I told the owners they must never retire! Thanks PC Galore!
