But there's no record of her getting the vaccination in their system or with Alberta Health so they think I'm going to pay for the consultation all over in order to get the booster. Why don't they submit records to Alberta Health?!

Consultation fee is higher than other clinics, no doctors on staff (can't prescribe certain drugs), no direct billing and high vaccine costs. I will say that the nurse was knowledgeable and friendly, but there are local (this is a large chain) clinics that will provide better service in a similarly expedited manor.

I did not feel pressured to purchase unnecessary vaccines or meds. Prices seemed comparable to another travel clinic (Sheldon Chumir), although SC may waive the consultation fee if you proceed with vaccines.

Also very skilled with the needles was able to answer all my questions (including questions particular to my personal medication)

Kristin, one of the RNs, reviewed every potential health risk of my trip and took time to walk me through all of the details of each vaccine I might need, as well as how the diseases of concern could be contracted. She was incredibly friendly and the two shots I got during my appointment were quick and painless. I'd recommend this clinic to anyone seeking travel information and vaccines. Tip: It's a little hard to find right now as they're a new office. Enter through the door just west of the bridal boutique and go up the stairs.

She covered detailed information about where I was traveling and what the recommended vaccines and other precautions I wouldn’t have thought of. I did not feel pressured into anything and felt like she had my best interests at heart, not like I was being “sold” something I didn’t need. She was very efficient with the shots and I don’t even have pain at the injection site. She suggested I wait for 15 minutes afterward in case of a severe reaction and when I left I had a file folder full of great information. I will definitely be back to see Shelly for any travel needs in future!

The vaccines and procedures that I needed to be aware of were explained clearly and there was no pressure to take on more medication than I was comfortable with. I was given very helpful information regarding these procedures and how it would be coordinated with my pharmacist. The clinic nurse, Kristin, gave me peace of mind that I could get more help in the future and have any further medical/travel questions answered so I could be best prepared for my journey.
