Nice place to spend a weekend on, and make a fire!

Used to be fun. Great place but the people here (especially the director) ruined it. It's sad to say that if the current director (more like a dictator) doesn't get replaced this place is gonna die out soon.

It’s such a nice place to spend a weekend. If you want to practice French or French is your first language, you are in the right place ;) The requirements to have a spot at this site is that at least one person in your family has to be a fluent French speaker. A great way to preserve the French / Acadian culture in AB. The parc has a nice creek where families can take a break from the hot summer days. There are washrooms available , electricity and water (non drinkable). Make sure you bring lots of water if you are visiting. They do have a kids playground, a little old but still fun for the little ones. You will find some cats too so mice are not a problem here ;) most are very shy so don’t expect them to approach you. Lots of bird sighting too! Specially in April and May where most are migrating and several ones stop in the area. I posted a picture or two from them. Also, the views of the prairies and Rockies on your way there is gorgeous!some areas look like the Tuscany hills in italy. Very close from Millarville market and Granary Road. We love coming to the parc in the spring and summer days. Also, if you would like to spend a day or two here they have a couple of buildings for guests for a fee. They have beds for sure - not sure if they have a bathroom or shower but I think they do. Is pretty affordable too. The temporary residents here plan lots of activities for their members. Halloween, Christmas, Stampede, thanksgiving and other summer activities.
