They do not enforce any rules such as noise levels making this place not suitable for families... And if you dare leave a negative review, the owner will definitely post a reply insulting you. I'll take my chances if it means that some poor family doesn't go and have an awful time.

Great place to forget the world. Just far enough from the city to be truly rustic, but close enough for any need that arises. The park has a wonderful group of long standing tenants that harbour a warm and inviting environment. I have had the pleasure of staying here on several occasions and I would recommend it to all sorts of campers. Family friendly as well.

Communication with owner was truly good and professional - that made us want to come and stay. Low ranking goes hand by hand what value you will get for your money. As we are traveling from coast to coast, difference of paying $20, $40 or $60 each day for two months is high. Therefore we are aiming to stay with lower prices. Ratio of quality and price here was so far the worst in a whole Canada. I don’t want to be ungrateful, but paying that amount of money for staying behind the shop with the hose and extension cord, really rustic shower facility and stinky outhouse beside? Unless there are nicer camping spots for small trailer down by the lake which are worth the money, I don’t recommend this place at all. Sorry. Watching lot of fireflies made or evening :) This is my very first negative review.

Although it was a nice secluded place to relax, i was not impressed with the fact that our toilet was broken and leaking water. As well, the pillows and blankets provided were dirty and stunk and god only knows the last time that floor was washed. I had to wash out the cupboards and all the dishes provided because of dirt and spider webs and i found the owner wasnt too pleasant at all. All the neighbors were great and friendly and very helpful. Will probably not return.

This is a wonderful campground for RV's and trailers. From what we saw the tent camping sections a quite secluded as well, but we had an RV this time. The best thing is how quiet it is there. We were there on the long weekend in August and there was almost no noticable noise until almost noon and even then it was pretty quiet. We've been to many places where the noise of kids screaming and yelling starts at dawn, but the children that were here were very well behaved. Del is also great at getting everything that you need. The firewood was also cheap, plentiful and burned well. Being this close to Kingston was also a bonus (about 15 minutes to the outskirts) with a corner store even closer. The beach is a little difficult to get to if you're physically handicapped (steep, rocky hill), but for normally able people, it's fine. The water was wonderfully warm (possibly a function of the hot weather), and had a sandy bottom. There are many boating slips at this campground as well, so bringing your boat may be an option. The washrooms and showers are very clean and quite spacious for a campground with plentiful hot water. The entrance road starts off very wide and well maintained, but near the end is a little tight (because of trees) and steep, so knowing the size of your vehicle/trailer is a must. Make sure you watch for the signs, many of them are hilarious. Once into the campground there is copious amounts of shade and surprisingly few biting insects on our weekend. We will come back any time we're camping in this area.

A spacious, rustic, no frills campground close to Kingston yet feels as though you are miles from any city, perfect to unplug & enjoy nature. Sites are large and surprisingly private (except for the MANY MANY spiders)& include picnic table and fire pit . Pet friendly, good prices, small sandy beach with a couple of paddle boats and canoe rental available plus a little play structure for kids on site. Owner was fantastic to deal with, very laid back but helpful. Seasonal campers were friendly and welcoming. Could use a bathroom closer to tent/back in sites but it was a minor inconvenience. Our family will definitely go back.

This has to be the worst campground ever, and I have been to copious amounts of campgrounds. The owner Del is the the most obnoxious person to deal with. He talks down to you as if you were beneath his status. Never does any up keep of the grounds. No garbage disposal on the grounds, the washrooms are extremely antique and filthy. Absolutely no activity’s for the seasonal campers. The play ground ( if you want to called it that) looks like the Amazon jungle with no up keep at all. Electrical hazards everywhere. Wires hanging out of the post for any kid to come along and seriously injure themselves. The one good comment I can say is that the seasonal campers are extremely friendly and outgoing. Bottom line, please for your health and safety stay away from this place. Sincerely Willy.
