★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When the pandemic hit in April of 2020, I decided at the age of 68 to learn to play the violin. I emailed Alan and asked him if he was willing to teach a senior with no musical talent whatsoever to play the violin from scratch. His enthusiastic reply was "absolutely". That was the start of our younger teacher/older student relationship. We haven't looked back since. Alan's stuck by me while I scratched my way through Suzuki Violin Book 1. A stubborn rotator cuff injury in August 2021 has slowed me to a crawl these last 6 months but we're still moving forward step by step. Alan's love of teaching is his number 2 asset (his talent is number 1). He's so dedicated to his students, very accommodating and always makes you feel like you're a rock star! I'm so glad I have him for my teacher and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone (of any age)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter and I have both been taking violin lessons at Palms Music Studio for almost a year. Allan is a great teacher, he is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching. He customizes his lessons to fit our individual needs and our playing has greatly improved.
He is very patient with young / nervous learners and makes learning the violin fun.
We highly recommend Palms Music Studio.

At that point, I discovered his craftsmanship in music as an exceptional musician and performer.
My colleague & I have requested Allan’s musicianship on various occasions for our outfit, Living Music Wpg- rob not only showcase his skills, but also his amazing teaching school.
He is masterful in instructing others, as I believe he sees himself in every student- regardless of their age or skill level. Allan always has the intent to bring the best out of others.
His entrepreneurial spirit, patience and guidance of others is done with grace and as effortless as a summer breeze.
I endorse and recommend Allan Palms Studio, because it’s a pillar in the Winnipeg music community and the fine arts, as a whole, moving forward.

He’s very energetic and passionate when performing, when he plays the violin it sends you into a bliss as you listen to the elegance of it. On top of it he’s an amazing teacher, he really grabs his students attention and engages with them. He knows how to communicate with his students and help them improve their abilities, you can clearly see he is very passionate about his music. ? 5/5 stars!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Allan was super sweet from the go. From the moment I reached out to him he was very welcoming and warm and also gave great musical suggestions. On my event day he was very punctual, he interacted very well with the guests and played beautifully. Overall, he was very professional and exquisite. I would 100% recommend!
