Hi Folks, Just to let you know that Pacific Angler is THE company to go with for salmon fishing charters in Vancouver BC. I gave my son a 6-hour salmon fishing charter package for his 13th birthday. Last weekend we joined our skipper Eddie aboard an immaculate, powerful and fully loaded Grady White sports fishing boat. The thrill ride out and back was terrific fun- big smile on my sons face!. Eddie our guide was an immaculate host making sure we had maximum time with lines in the water and at the same time teaching my son about how to fish for salmon. The result was a perfect 14lb/ 31 inch Chinook salmon in prime condition. My son and I are still buzzing off the thrill of the catch. What struck me was how careful Eddie was with the fish during the catch and release process- something I really appreciated. I should also mention Kathryn Sharp who ensured that every step was taken care of prior to departure- She even prepared a route map so we could avoid closed roads because of the BMO marathon- super thoughtful touch that took a stress load off me. And the final nice touch was to receive a big box selection of prepared salmon steaks and crab from the Pacific Angler team after we docked. My son says it was the best day of his life. It was a truly memorable experience. Thank you and see you soon Pacific Angler!, Cheers, Richard

I’ve been out with Pacific Anglers a few times and can say without a doubt they are the best operation around. The guides are professional and know how to entertain and we’ve had a blast no matter the weather. Highly recommend!

My partner and I had an amazing time with Captain Eddie! We went out in late March but the weather and fishing was great. Both came home with a legal chinook. Will definitely be planning a return trip for summer months!

My wife and I just celebrated our anniversary out on an 8hr guide with pacific angler this past weekend; I cannot give enough Praise to the team at Pacific Anglers. Kathryn made the booking and trip organization super easy and straight forward for us. In the morning, we met Captain Eddie at the dock and I'm pretty sure I was beaming in excitement when I saw the beautiful fully decked out Grady White we would be taking for the day. Capt Eddie was absolutely fantastic! Not only was he a super knowledgeable fisherman but also very much a people person. He was willing to teach us anything we wanted about fishing in general but also about boating and water safety. He made special attention to make sure my Wife was comfortable at all times as she is 4months pregnant. We dropped our crab traps then made the crossing over to thraser rock. We got into some fish but Eddie's experience and instincts gave the gut feeling that better fishing was to be had out at the trench near nanaimo, so we picked up our lines and headed for it. We barely had our lines in for 5 minutes and the fish started hitting like crazy, and they were great sized fish!! After making the trip back across the straight we retrieved our crab traps and boy were they full! We both limited out on crabs which made for a wonderful finish to a spectacular day on the water. I can't thank Captain Eddie, Kathryn and the rest of the team at Pacific Anglers enough for making it such a memorable experience. We will be back for another charter (probably quite a few lol) I know these reviews can help guide you on which company to use (it did for us) so believe me when I say this is the charter company you want to go on.

Had a fantastic trip with Jason... limited early on winter Chinook, full prawn traps and a dolphin show for icing on the cake. But less fishing success wouldn't have mattered much, what a way to spend a day and it's great to watch a real pro explaining what he's doing. We'll be back!

Capt Eddie took my son and I out salmon fishing. We had a great time and limited out on Chinook. Eddie is very knowledgeable and has decades of experience fishing out of Vancouver. I would highly recommend him as well as the Pacific Angler store for any fishing gear if you are going fishing on your own.

My friends and I are all new to fishing. We had never caught anything bigger than palm size so was hopeful we’d catch something big. Captain Eddy was great - funny and very knowledgeable having fished in these parts for many years. We trolled around Bowen Island and got lots of bites. Unfortunately we only landed one big enough to keep but we were pretty excited none the less. One was stolen by a seal which caused a bit of drama and I swear I’ll never look at seals the same way again! Was a great experience overall and will definitely be doing it again!

Went out on a half day charter yesterday. With 3 other buddies of mine. We met at the Granville Island dock at 7:00 am. Our guide went over the the boat and the safety equipment. He told us the game plan for the day and said we were going to head out to Bowen Island. We couldn’t make it to Bowen Island due to the waves. I spoke with a buddy who recommended me to this Charter and he was pretty shocked. Long story short we caught 1 fish. Pretty disappointing but that is fishing. Just figured on a charter you have better luck. I think it’s important to note to potential customers that’s it’s not always going to be a crazy fish day. Unfortunately for us it was not a good day. We did spend the entire time west of the Lions Gate bridge. We trolled back and forth. It was nice to be on the water but we didn’t pay to sight see. If we caught fish it would have be much better. It wasn’t that there was no fish the guide told us several time there was tons of action just they didn’t bite. But we passed by a few boats and they caught right in front of us so maybe our set up was not optimal. Due to the experience we would most likely try another charter. Another charter that was recommend was Bon Chevy.
