He made time for us immediately and turned his full report around so quickly. We were so grateful. I happened to spend several hours with him as he completed his site visit and research. He’s an impressive professional and very courteous. He’s both a PEng and a PhD. We priced out three engineers and he was the most reasonably priced, too. All in all, I can’t recommend Sam enough.
N	Nishan L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam, is the best Structural Engineer I had so far. Sam has a PHD in Structural Engineering with over 20yrs of experience which shows up through his amazing work. Sam have made the most detailed inspection and report for me. Sam is very bold with his pen in his report to call out the exact cause of the issue no matter what it is which is really impressive. I have worked with many Structural engineers before and everyone talks but when it comes to writing the actual issue in a formal report no one have the confidence to write what they talk. When it comes to writing most engineers usually write the most expensive option to the home owner, but Sam makes sure that he is finding the most cost effective option. The only regret I have is not hiring Sam earlier. I highly recommend for any kind of projects. His site visit is worth every penny. Even if you are just buying your first home, hiring Sam instead of a home inspector for a site visit will save you from a lot of headache down the road.

Many agreed to take us on and would disappear, others were unreachable and just didn't return our calls. Ottawa Structural Engineering Services Inc., was responsive and professional. Not only did Sam answer and listen to our needs, but he was prompt to provide us with a quote and schedule an in-person assessment. He took his time to evaluate the issues in our home and did not dismiss any of our concerns. This was incredibly appreciated! When it came time to preparing the report, he communicated next steps and timelines and honoured his service standards. We received a detailed report that enabled us to effectively support our case and claims to our builder and Tarion. Even when his job was "done", he still remained engaged with us to address any outlier questions we had. Our experience with Sam was an incredibly positive one and l cannot emphasize enough the importance of working with someone who is as professional and knowledgeable as him, especially in stressful circumstances involving your home!
